Been using Honorbuddy a long time, leecher though so no previous posts. I had 2 accounts simultaneously suspended, both on the same bnet account. The second account I use for botting semi frequently but only when I was awake and at my computer, but I'm on a server with a shitty population so I change what it's doing very frequently, every couple of hours generally, since in 3 hours it can get enough stuff to sell for the next three days. When it got suspended it was on my bank toon sitting in the auction house. My main account is the account I do semi-hardcore raiding on and I never bot on it except I started recently in order to obtain the Insane title. I was grinding Steamwheedle Cartel rep for the last leg of it. I did it for probably 10 hours last night and 7 hours today as I got banned. (Which if they expect people to be able to obtain the Insane without grinding in some way.. They say they monitor people for grinding the same mobs over and over... they are insane themselves.) The ban was not for use of a third party program, but for "Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")" which they say is benefits to your character that include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. I most definitely have not done any of these things. My main account is an original collector's edition account that has been active for 8 years+ and my second account I've had since Wrath. Neither account has ever been suspended before. As I said, I'm in a semi-hardcore raiding guild and then suspension tonight was 15 minutes before a raid, and there is another raid before the suspension ends, which is a huge problem. To me, not appealing says you're admitting guilt but I'm afraid if I appeal they might make it permanent instead of just a suspension. What do you guys think? Has anyone heard of someone appealing a suspension and it being made permanent? Also, I'm honestly worried that when I get my account back and I go back to farming Steamwheedle rep, even if it's by hand, I might get banned again for grinding mobs. What would you guys do in my situation? Thanks!
I have totally heard of someone appealing and it turning into a perma ban. I've also seen a guy get 72 hour ban for his name when he botted as well.He opened a ticket and they found he botted so they gave him a perma ban. I say wait it out, your guild will be fine (I was in the top raiding guilds in 4.3, I understand your feels.)
I wouldnt worry, let the time limit go. Its like getting busted by the cops and getting a smack on the hand, than getting back in their face wanting them to say sorry for catching you.
