===== SIGN UP ===== Since the developers announced awhile back due to lack of players and people willing to participate with this bot it was not a profitable product, personally i think wrong of this. Please copy and paste previous list and your name to create awareness around the forums for those of whom it would be effective to or for those who think it would be beneficial to have as addition on the side and to generate revenue for company to creates the software. Hopefully if we can get enough people for developers to see its doable idea they'll consider reinstating the program again and having it regular maintained. Post your name now and create list of people willing prove the program developers wrong! Names - 10gez10
well i'm looking forward to hearing about this. hey 15outland, did you get that from a private message or what?
LOL, yea, its not profitable because they continue to update, but refuse to sell BY THE MONTH when people are very much willing to pay in this way!!!! Which in turn causes no extra revenue from the bot, making them think its not profitable. How many customers have they lost since the start of the year? How many? Dev's check your new ip's that browsed the buddy wing website, those are all lost profits. Probably 20% of those people made a forum account. Its like the fat girl with ice cream. She eats ice cream cause she is depressed about being fat, but the ice cream makes her fat, so she eats more. Its what the scientific community calls a PARADOX. I'm done trying to get these guys to sell a product that they are continually updating. It makes no sense. Think about, if you told your grandmother that you had a product that you refused to sell, even though you still maintain it, what would she say? Mine would call me ignorant (I'm not passing judgments, just broadcasting what my grandmother would say to me. I'm pretty sure my mother would call me a "stoop" as well.). Sorry for ranting, I just don't understand the logic, and I am done trying to understand. Thanks for making a good WoW bot however.
If you'd skimmed a few posts back, you might have noticed that subscriptions of some sort will become available again, perhaps as soon as this week. I'm sure the BW developers appreciate the rant, though.
Ok as far as my understanding is the product was cancelled but they still give the end users years worth of maintenance before closing the whole project completely otherwise that's pretty much setting alight to money. What your saying in your first sentence is contradicting pretty much everything. If you continue to live in the past then you'll be in past, i created this thread to unite the people who want to/ still play this game and willing to pay money to a program which can save them time. If it means creating a lists of consumers who would use the product to prove to developers that it is a worthy product to continue. Your metaphor or analogy in this matter is quite extreme to add to this. "I'm done trying to get these guys to sell a product that they are continually updating. It makes no sense." Your not selling the product? if you haven't noticed. Also companies like oracle on a separate and related topic offer databases packages to students, consumers and businesses for free but charge for maintenance and use of the program if it commercialized . "what would she say? Mine would call me ignorant" I'm not going to call you ignorant because sadly i can see you didn't pass your GCSE english since half of this is grammatically doesn't make sense.
@10gez10: I think he just meant that since the bot was being maintained anyway, it makes sense to sell monthly subs and continue earning money from it; because current subscribers are all on annual plans, no additional sales were incoming. On that note, I wonder if we can still look forward to seeing the new subscription model this week. I'm a little anxious (and excited) to see what the future holds.
They haven't said a word about it yet, but I imagine current licenses will be fine. We don't even know if the "monthly" idea will be embraced. However, I do keep checking Buddywing.com every few hours out of curiosity.
Look I love that the buddyteam try to make buddywing work, but as they say SWTOR is to complex to bot and it will never be profitable if the bot cant afk. I would rather see the buddyteam putting there effort in another project and make it awesome instead of trying to make the buddybot work. Its been over a year and its still fare from acceptable in performance. Let it go, let buddywing die...
Actually I've had alot less issues with buddywing questing than I ever had with HB. Just needs the final bit of development and it will be afk questing from 1-50.
