just got susspended for 72 hrs, was botting battlegrounds for 1hr after a few hours rest. i remember looking at the chat and reading from other players reading about all the bots on the team. then got kicked from game. so what does that say? gm's are responding too reports instantly and banning players? so i guess not safe anymore. wowgmeu@blizzard.com 04:28 (29 minutes ago) to me Greetings, This is to inform you that action has been taken against your account. Ya botting in BGs is just too risky these days due to the high number of botters u can watch in disbelief 4-5 players following the same way points, i have to admit since using a bot u can so easily tell a bot to a human, the kiting back and forth. You should never use bots on a account you cant risk, cause i lost 2 accounts today in the ban wave and my main account didn't, i watched while both accounts disconnected and when tried to reconnect they both got banned locked out. So i think it was a long time coming, i counted like 20+ botters using gather buddy, Duck Profile, guess the price on Herbs /ore will now go up lol
The exact same thing happened to my bot today. I started the bot at night before I went to bed and then when I got up ~7 hours later, it was suspended for 72 hours.
And where you also using BG Buddy? btw bg buddy is never safe it is the worse one too bot with plain reason why everyone who bots in bgs use HB
[Theory] I believe blizzard have stepped up defenses against BG Botters by decreasing the amount of player reports needed OR/AND have changed it from a 3h to 72h OR have increased the amount of player reports needed and have changed it from 3h to 72h. Questing has also been hit too which I found weird, if I had to guess then I'd say X amount of player reports = 72h ban and they might have lowered the amount of reports needed to trigger a ban. tl;dr I've been expecting this for over 6 months since we all know the state of Battlegrounds feel free to check my posts to verify ^^.
I dont know how they could increase on questing and botting, I think that the only way you get banned or temp banned is by another player reporting you or a few players. Unlike BG Botters there are so many people who use HB just for BG Botting and its over crowded with them. I can see where they have decreased the amount of reports made too get someone banned since there is tones of them anyway
I got a 72h susspend aswell - was useing GB in Pandaria EDIT: What you have to do after a 72h susspend, wait for how long? or is that the last chance to avoid a ban?
i think bots bg bots are gona have too be smarter some how. you can easily tell by there movements. honorbuddy may sort this out or disable the feature altogether. cause its just too risky too use now. its the players reporting!. based on what iv seen and read. so they report on the movements or decisions the bot makes.
