All day I have been trying to figure out why DB isn't working for my Mists dungeons or scenarios. It won't fight. I started with a fresh HB install and still it tells me that it can't find the script for the dungeons/scenarios. Every time it doesn't load the script for the dungeon/scenario. Example: [DungeonBuddy 435]: No script found for dungeonId: 511 Here's the log file: View attachment 3408 2013-02-21 15.34-leztek.txt
Leztek, your problems are Blackrock Caverns Heroic.cs and the newly introduce general compiling error. Your best bet is to disable auto update and then get the files Botorific uploaded a page or so back.
Don't turn it back on till there is a new release or someone from the hb team says they are updated/fixed
it stopped working again. i tried the same methods but its still not working anymore.. haha, my luck. whats wrong with it, why won't it work
Its pretty odd this is happening considering your bot is right at a vendor and bot location is also on the mesh. Vendors are ignored if they can't be navigated to or are blacklisted. If they are blacklisted then it would be in the log. Have you tried restarting hb to see if it was just some navigation quirk? Maybe a full log (zipped if needed) would be more helpful. The only reason an option to opt out of script updates was added was to allow for people to make changes to the default scripts without fear of them getting over written. This wasn't really efficient and is no longer needed since I added an option to use scripts and profiles from another folder. Dungeonbuddy will use scripts found in the 'Custom Scripts Path' over any default ones. The issue most people are having is they have stale unused scripts in the default scripts folder. Since these old scripts are no longer being updated they might contain removed api calls which leads to compiler errors and cause everything else to fail. In order to fix the above problem Dungeonbuddy needs to delete any files in the default scripts and profile folders that are not on the update server. No script issues have been found in Dungeonbuddy that comes with current stable HB release after any stale scripts have been removed. I tested it myself and I've also been allot more careful with script updates the past few weeks. If you're having script compiler errors chances are you are using an old version of HB or you have stale scripts and need to delete them. Dps will not attack NPCs that are not already in combat with group. What this change means is they will not strictly switch targets whenever tank switches (for example to pick up a stray NPC) because doing so would be a dps lost. DPS will instead prioritize NPCs based on number of group members that are attacking npc (this does included tank) and health percent. A 'PullBlackspot' tag in profile should be used to blacklist groups of NPCs that should be skipped. It's exactly like a Blackspot tag except different name. Someday I'll write a profile specifications . example.. This just goes inside the <DungeonBuddyProfile> tag. <PullBlackspots> <PullBlackspot X="3717.217" Y="2583.737" Z="769.5298" Radius="9.433087" /> </PullBlackspots>
anyone else having problems where the bot will stop following the tank? and be left behind or keeps running past the tank
Edit: didn't see H.V. post on this at the time... Script updates - we will still have the facility to store a back up copy in a nearby folder...then just change the path if they break. I AM ASSUMING this path WILL NOT be subject to auto update. That would defeat the purpose. Side note - I keep two or three releases .zip backed up just for the reason that stuff gets broken. Twas the nature of HB when panda was released. (5.2 will render these useless most likely) On tanking - take the gekkan fight for example. This flexibility will allow the DPS to burn down the adds causing the most harm. Tank will just need to keep threat. Currently the bots just attack the tanks target whatever it may be. At least this is how I understand it. I think this will make downing fights more consistent and quicker to complete. Glad it's a beta we can test. I'm looking forward to getting my spriest back in action.
Decided to try out some of the Scenarios, since dungeons currently don't want to work for me and no one would tell me if the raids were worth trying. Assault on Zan'vess Fully AFKable Brewmoon Festival Minor issue: Once the bot needs to set the defenses in the village (10 of them). It does not move to the item giver, or interact with him. It will however place the bombs randomly if you force an interact Lion's Landing Not supported yet, at least that's what the bot told me. Crypt of the Forgotten Kings Fully AFKable Greenstone Village Has a lot of trouble with the barrels. They all three stacked up on the brazier by the door while riding the barrels. If moved manually however, the rest is AFKable
mine doesn't work either. gives the dungeon ID not found error. still trying out the various solutions in this thread.
I'm playing as a Priest Discipline, and when I start Dungeonbuddy it says '[DungeonBuddy 435]: My role is ranged dps'. How can I tell the bot that I want to heal?
