I call every HB user to participate in the Operation: Timewasters. The goal of this operation is to force Blizzard redirect it's human resources away from bot detection in-game. We, as botters, usually have more than 1 account/identity, and these days they're getting closed down at an alarming rate. The plan is simple. We open, re-open, appeal, re-appeal any and all tickets/bans/issues we can. The single second they spend on pressing their "forget about this acc already, m8" response macro, is a second one of us gets to bot that much longer. Hopefully, we can cause enough of a shitstorm that they'll need to pull their bot-police from IG just to respond to our nonsensical tickets. Potential benefits: 1. Either way, Blizzard will have to respond to this: the only way to deal with the serious influx of tickets is to have more people reading them. They might start responding to our tickets with macro'd answers en masse (just to handle the amount), involving legit players in this. That might start a backlash, because they will be forced to redirect some of the GMs to answer tickets more thoroughly again, just to increase their customer care level. 2. Our accounts might actually get unbanned - by accident or persistence - yay! 3. More entertaining than browsing funny pictures online. Potential drawbacks: 1. IP flagging/blacklisting - but who says they don't do that already? 2. <can't come up with any from the top of my head> Oh, and since this is a ban report forum, I guess I should report something to avoid this thread being closed prematurely. I have somewhere between 17-22 lvl 90's suspended, some of them perma (High-Pop EU, Gatherbuddy2/Professionbuddy custom profiles, 24/7, all as I know of were teleported to the hut of bot-death in VOTW) All of my other bots are now off, waiting for a solution to the lack of teleport detection and the fiasco that is called "Honorbuddy's navigation around obstacles". And this is how I came up with Operation:Timewasters - had so much free time I just started writing tickets with no end. My favorite exchange today went something like this: Code: 1. "Helo I canot login, email says closure? WTF?" 2. "Greetings, following a review of your case, I can confirm that the evidence presented was correct,..." 3. "I still have problem, i canot log in, pls unlock acc" 4. "Greetings, Your account was permanently suspended due to use of third party programs, which is..." 5. "Okey, what do I how do it? 6. <waiting for their move now, lol> So yeah, let's go crazy It's not like they'll double-ban us.
Last part made me laugh, i'll join up just for the fun of it Great ticket idea just came to me: Hello, my account was banned, i dont understand, i have Swag, i cant get banned. i can also do 360 no scopes on call of duty, just for that i should be unbannable! something in the lines of that, this is fun lol
A better idea for them to waste resources is just report everyone everyday you encounter. Would be funny to see what would happen if they had to deal with like half a million people getting bans bot or not.
They are just humans They have life(maybe), have familys, have other stuff.... We have WOW accounts, we have bots, we love what we are doing.... I dont need any of them to tell me that I am using hack! I know what I am using! But they dont know how much we love our accounts and gold we make... They need to understand the hard way... We can do that. We need just 10k $ and that is nothing for that.
I'm in, anyone who has done front end testing knows Selenium and similar products (I have not I just work with guys that use it), use that to re-open tickets write some decent test case like stuff, to login, check for response and resubmit all day long, and u win da game!
A faster and better results would be for someone to get a wow account administrative position and unban banned botting accounts in the community.
That would be the dream, though: 1st, a position like that would have access to much more valuable information, like current detection methods. 2nd, any sort of direct involvement would threaten the person's work place/career, so, not worth it. (Everything would be rolled back, anyway)
It's the building near where quest chain with the moths happens, it's pretty large (you can mount in it) and GM's teleport you there.
I wish I thought the concept would work, but after the 2nd or 3rd attempt to appeal they just ignore it. They might send you an auto-reply about not looking at it again but the amount of time it takes to fire that off is minimal AND is done at a lower level than the people doing the actual investigations.
