Version 1 Features (Credit to Zapman) - See Battleground, Whispers, Say and Guild messages. - Sound alert for all of the above. - Save all to a textfile with the click of a button. - Running in the background if you close it. - Two different sounds, one sounds for whispers and if a chat contains your name. - Change settings in a easy way. - Settings are saved till next usage. Version 2 Features - Saves settings based on character, not overall between all toons - Added ability to add aliases (For alerts based on name) - Runs in the background automatically on start (Can be disabled in options) - Added feature to change sounds. Comes with a bunch of default sounds now (Send me a PM if you think you have a good sound that should be added in) - Ability to see Battle.Net whispers Version 2.1 Features - Updated for 5.0.4 About I really enjoyed the original Watch The Chat for it's Simplicity. I felt that it needed the ability to see battle.net whispers, and the ability to "Auto Start" without having to hit the show button. Along the way, I added a few additional features, and wanted to release it to the public. All credits for the original go to Zapman. It's undergone major design changes in v2. v2.1 has just been updated for the new honorbuddy. Howto - Compile the plugins, enable "WatchTheChat" and press the "Show" button to see logs/edit settings. Installation - Extract the folder inside the "WatchTheChat x.x.zip" to your plugin directory. Known Issues - Chat spams you if you pause the bot then enable the bot. I'm thinking I'm going to change the chat events to lua events in future versions. Support/Bugs - Please post here if you run into issues, or if you see a feature you would like to add in, in the future.
Can you add a pop-up aswell, because I don't like having my speakers turn on all the time. A pop-up would be great, like "Someone whispered you" or "Someone said your name", etc. It would be better than having the speakers always on.
doesn't work for me, shows up in the plugins list but if i try to click the settings button, nothing happens. and it doesnt react on whispers etc. using the latest stable hb version.
For those of you who have downloaded it, just rename the folder from WatchTheChatv2 to WatchTheChat. The zip file has been updated with the change for future people who download the plugin. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
Thank you, unfortunately whisper logs do not get saved and nothing appears when I'm trying to go in the settings, will see to get a depth look and post it by tommorow.
Hia, When I try to add Aliases I get the 'honorbuddy has encountered a problem' pop-up? Is there any way I can manually add my aliases? It doesn't log anything in the folder called chatlogs And one more question - does it automatically look out for my chars name or do I have to manually enter char- name somewhere? Kind regards GilMebson
Hello, can I make a Request? Can you please also make an option that the plugin plays the siren sound like the whisper thing if you're dead? So I will know if someone killed my toon or it just fell down. Thanks
If a GM decides to speak to you, does this show? been a while since i spoke to a GM and not sure if it will just come under a /w
The 'Show' button on the Plugin panel does nothing for me -hope the author will take feedback, as the plugin looks promising! Thanks in advance
I don't know if this helps but I've managed to make Honorbuddy unresponsive when doing the following: 1. Start a new Honorbuddy process (Everything is already set up upon loading) 2. Click Start 3. Go to Plugins and Show WatchTheChat 4. I was on the Settings Tab at the time and I sent a message to my guild. a. It was the first message received. It made the proper alert noise and recorded it into the Honorbuddy log 5. I then clicked the Guild tab to see how it was received within the GUI, and this is where the program (not just WatchTheChat) hangs. Honorbuddy seems to function normally regardless of its unresponsiveness but I only left it in this state for a minute or two. So far it serves me just fine. Thanks for all your hard work! Hmm I don't know if this program is actively updated. Anyone know of a similar plugin?
I found out if a gm speak to you it will sound a siren ! so the answer is yes it will alarm you when a gm wanna talk.. im using this plugin its great thanks
Compiler Error: c:\Users\LOLOLOL\Desktop\Honorbuddy\Plugins\WatchTheChat\WatchTheChat.cs(166,24) : error CS0115: 'WatchTheChat.WatchTheChat.Dispose()': no suitable method found to override It gives me this.
No matter which plugin I install for Honorbuddy (right now I'm trying to get some chat monitoring ones up and running), it gives me the same error. It tells me there is no suitable method found to override for *plugin*.CB.Initialize() and *plugin*.CB.Dispose(). I've re installed Honorbuddy so I know it's not that, I'm just trying to figure out whats up. Here's an example of the error for this plugin I'm trying right now. (note, all plugins I'm trying are telling me the same thing). HTML: Compiler Error: c:\Users\Daniel\Documents\Honorbuddy\Plugins\CommunicationBuddy\CommunicationBuddy.cs(93,30) : error CS0115: 'CommunicationBuddy.CB.Initialize()': no suitable method found to override Compiler Error: c:\Users\Daniel\Documents\Honorbuddy\Plugins\CommunicationBuddy\CommunicationBuddy.cs(112,30) : error CS0115: 'CommunicationBuddy.CB.Dispose()': no suitable method found to override Anyone have a fix for this? It didn't start happening until maybe a month or so ago, not quite sure what's up but I need to be able to install new plugins. Thank you!!
I was interested in something like this but couldn't be bothered to code it myself, editing this code and adding to it would be better. Not sure if any one else if using it or has taken over though.
