The title says it, until next patch (5.2) i'd chill out, 5.2 will give them more to do and make them busy, eventually they will chill on the bans, never seen something like this 5 - 10 daily bans....that's outrageous
Lol 5-10 reported, and it seems more than that. I know ive lost multiple accs in last few weeks, didnt report 1
Never had a ban before. Botted as much as I wanted since before Cataclism. All of a sudden, *BAM! My two farmers got banned. Luckily my auctioneer is still working, but I will stay low for a while indeed.
Tell me about it, I've had ~30 accs alan secks'd by Blizz in the last few weeks. Before that, not even whisper for 6 months on them. :/
Clearly some bottish behaviour is being flagged for inspection by the GMs. If HB was detected we'd ALL be banned.
What about them just going after few percent every few days, just to keep us buying accs that get shot down? Cause that's what would give them the most profit. Also, I think banning everyone at once would be a disaster for them. Economies would crumble, tons of legit players in crossfire. Logic says if they'd ever decide to wipe us out, they'd do it bit by bit - so we'd buy more accounts + economies would be stable + only a small amount of legit players accidentally banned to avoid bad PR. It's only about the money - and even if that's not happening now, how can we be sure?
It look's like they are banning all bots that are online on a certain point of the day, i have 3 bots on 3 different botting schedules on the same machine with the same ip and only one of my bots got banned for 72h allthough i switched off the other farmer 30min before the ban hit the other account and got nothing on him. there's probably one gm that checked out every farmer that farmed for let's say 12 hours straight and hit them with the banhammer for 72h, the percentage of normal players who farm 12 hours straight is pretty low so they only hit bots with this method
