Hello, before i start botting i want to ask this. I have an account atm which is clean and will never use bot, cheats or anything similar on it. I am planning to open a second account just for botting. I will never link those two accounts in game, like trading gold or items or communicating. I understand and accept the risk that the botting account can get a permanent ban at any time. Is there any chance for my main clean account to get perm banned, only just because the botting one got a perm ban and the only thing they have in common is that they both been accessed several times from the same pc and ip?
Yes there is a risk, but a very small one. Two accounts using the same ip/pc is not a major issue. Families/friends share computers. But two accounts cant be played on the same computer at the same time unless you are using some kind on bot/cheat...is the rationale. So to minimize your risk, use a second computer if you must bot while you are on your main account or don't bot & play your main at the same time. Like I said, the risk is very small, but if you really value your main account - take every precaution you can.
Yes, multiboxing is allowed. But the average player is not going have the skill/ability to farm herb/ore/dungeons/whatever in a zone (at the rate thate the bot does) while running a raid or doing anything else. This would scream bot if you tried to defend yourself to Blizz.
it depends what your talking about. if your talking about software detection then only the account the bot is attached to will be banned. if your talking about reports, still only the account being reported will be banned. <-- 100% of all bans now a days if your trading lots of gold and mats around from the bot account to the main account thats where the risk comes in that both might be banned, however this would only happen if a GM (a real person) decides to investigate and sees lots of activity between accounts. the whole "well they are on the same machine, and blizzard can see that" is complete BS.
if your talking about reports, still only the account being reported will be banned. <-- 100% of all bans now a days I love it how you stated that...Its so dam true and yet people still say its not there fault.
Is the way around this to just sell stuff from your main, (greys, etc) to your bott toon on separate account for high prices and such?
Just use a VeePeeNe, if you know what I mean, in your bot account. This way, even if you trade gold and mats between both accounts (always use a guild), even if they ban both at first they won't ban it forever since they have no proof its you lol. It will most likely be an auto-ban or something like that.
