Chromatic Sword

This profile will farm the basilisk cave in Northern Stranglethorn Vale. There is a rare, named basilisk there that drops the Chromatic Sword, whichs sells on the AH for transmog for around 100k gold.

can you post a little more info about the profile? horde/ally? mailbox? level of the mobs around? is it clearing all mobs or just this rare?

 

Went there to find no rare, but cave had been all cleared, amazing how many people use/read HB or the forums ^^

 

Re-spawn of the rare: ~5-8 hours.

Drop rate of the sword : 0.4 %

Clears all mobs btw.

Don`t think this drops anymore - since the lvl change in the area during Cataclysm. A lvl 40 weapon rarely drops from lvl 30 mobs. As of today - there is 1 for sale on the EU realms (52k gold) - and about 5 on US realms

timers are wrong 2 now. been there all day on 2nd screen, no one came in. 9.5 hours over last kill now. No rare.

 

since the level turned to 31, it didn't drop any more. Only can the rogue pick pocket to get it.

 

Confirmed it still drops. Got one at 9:51pm.

 

So if you say you just got one, this guy must be lying.

GM in that pic doesnt know what he is talking about. Sword still drops. I couldn't care less if you believe it or not

it still drops, there was a guy activly farming them in cataclysm on my realm, he would have his alts parked there constantly and would sell them on the forum

Well no point stirring a thread just for the hell of it, if it drops then gratz to those who persevere but if not then what does it matter.
