so with the new season of arena looming around the corner, i decided to farm some honor for gear... and i got bored after about.... 5hrs a piece. i decided to use hb, and i noticed that all of a sudden i was getting disconnected quite frequently. i'm not entirely sure if this is a problem with HB or a detection method of WoWs. The only reason i am posting this speculation is that because these disconnects have rarely ever occured, and never 4 within the time span of 30mins like most recently. This reminds me of an account i had before where i was running honorbuddy, and monitoring it at work during a break. I noticed that i got disconnected 5 times while running honorbuddy in a row, within 5 mins of the bot running, it would disconnect. so i gave up and stopped botting until i got home. When i arrived home i had received a suspension of 3 hrs for exploiting the honor system.

For me the occurance of disconnects seem to be connected to botting only. Let me know if other people have noticed this.

Doubts its related. Usually its one disconnect ---> login and you get error 202 banned. The 3 hour suspension is an automated system that isnt related to botting. Ive received them when entering into AV and just farming honor while standing at starting zone. Its designed to eliminate honor leeching. If they suspect you of botting its usually 72 hours, if they have proof its perma closure, usually without any successful appeal. Just bad luck with disconnects, imo

so i got banned the following day after i posted about the random disconnects, and the reason for the ban was "exploiting the economy"
      ...
i immediately responded with a wtf ticket, and explained that i did not exploit, and i explained to them every transaction i had possibly made, which was to who i traded and what it was and where i got the item from and for how much, as well i explained where i farmed all my items on the AH from, and explained why i ran the raids i did.

i explained that all the gold i had came from a rare item i found while ledgendary/rare farming, and i explained what i did with all the gold and what i purchased off the AH. after i submitted my ticket, i got a response within an hour, and it was basically saying thank you for your submission, we see your point, and we have delt with all involved parties accordingly... what ever that means. then they reversed the ban.

Take this post for what you may, im simply recounting my story and what i did, and hopefully this can help you in the future. im not sure what the reason for the ban was, or even if the details in my response made a difference, or the fact that a response in general made the difference. any ways best of luck to all those that are banned, it really does suck :(.

reason for late response to my ban is the fact that my password is the randomly generated one they send to you in an email and i couldnt be bothered to go find it :( lol

I mean your appeal worked so that's good. I think you were too detailed though. Usually a guilty person would be more inclined to feel the need to defend himself.
