Randomly teleported...is blizz testing for bots this way?

I decided I wanted to go back to my old botting ways, so I downloaded and fired up honor buddy today (clean install--absolutely NO other profiles or hacks), and turned on BGBuddy for some honor farming. I botted for only an hour and a half.

Upon returning, I turned off honorbuddy and restarted wow in 64-bit mode with no bots or anything running, just clean plain old wow. I wanted to play manually because I decided after reading the ban reports forum and seeing so many bans lately that I didn't want to risk it anymore. So I joined a Tol Barad match and at some point I was teleported to the other side of the map in a very random spot! No loading screen or anything, it was extremely odd and something that has never happened before. My connection was great, no lag or anything, I was casting spells the whole time.

I remember reading something in the forums about blizzard testing for bots lately, and someone mentioned that they may teleport you if they suspect you to be botting to see if your bot freaks out after being teleported. I can't remember this post, but it was a post made in a thread within the last couple days. I remember reading it, and then only a few hours later it happened to me, which is why this has me concerned. Needless to say, I don't think I will bot any time soon. Blizzard seems to be really *****ing down. Permabans on first offense happening a lot lately, with no forgiveness.

Yes, some GMs have historically used porting. Some still use it now.

I know they used to teleport people years ago but there is not enough evidence atm.

 

Holy cow..I had no idea they had buckled down this much. I botted like crazy on the release of MoP and never got into any trouble, but knowing this makes me really grateful I didn't go on a longer botting spree. Definitely calling it quits on that.

 

Besides the fact that there are loads of people reporting teleports lately, there are already 2-3 plugins that deal with teleporting. So, I'm not exactly sure what the devs are supposed to do. It's not like the plugins cost extra.
