Not a bug and you've not read the proper thread for it as this is intended behaviour. BG Buddy will move the toon to the nearest mass of players and it follows a preset route, because a lot of people use BG Buddy it results in "herd" movement as all the bots move as one. This has resulted in a few issues which I believe the devs are hard at work to correct. Basically BG Buddy was too popular and as such its a victim of its own success.
As Teveel said, it isn't a bug. However, if the bot isn't making your toon(s) attack at all, even though they come into contact with the opposite faction, then that is a Combat Routine issue. You may need to try a different Combat Routine for you characters to see if that helps with the issue.
