Yo botters! Just wondering if my main account can get banned if I bot on another account on another battle.net from same IP tho, and send the materials from the bot acc with a guild bank to sell them on my main account? Is there any other way to make my main account safe? or is it already?
Hi, Lakke, First, if you are worried about losing any of your accounts, I wouldn't bot at all. Botting puts you at risk of losing any of your accounts. To answer your question: Yes... the main account can get banned, if the bot gets caught and the main account has benefited in any way from the bot account (gold, items, materials, etc). And No... Generally, the main account won't get banned just because there was a bot coming from the same IP. The exception is if you are running a bot farm (say 10+ bots), Bliz may have just had enough of you, and ban them all. Farmers/gold sellers easily make up the bulk of our ban reports, and this happens to them frequently. But they are 'commercial/power' botters, and not casual botters. And "no", there is no way to make your main account guaranteed safe if you bot. But, if you bot smartly, this should never be an issue. Short answer is YES. chinajade explained it 100%. The only thing I would like to add is that Blizzard can ban you for whatever they want. Even if you NEVER botted, they can ban you for it. So honestly, if your afraid of losing your account, don't bot. If you don't care (like me) then just go for it.
