Hi, I have 2 accounts that I am levelling literally at the same time using kick's profiles. I've encountered it twice already that when the a toon reaches 87, HB can force it to try and all the way to 90 without questing. first it goes to kun lai at the south western part of te map to grind yetis and goats and then by the time it gets to 88.5 it moves to townlong the battle area near the entrance to grind to 90. The annoying thing is that one of the two accounts I am levelling is proceeding with questing like normal while the other automatically goes to a hard grind. I am sure both toons were pretty much the same experience level and quest stage when i switch from valley of the four winds to kun lai, having to go through the quests from the FP at the bottom of the stairs north of the valley of four winds supposedly leading to the quests in binan village. The grinding toon did quests up till the part where you ride a small boat through the tunnel going to binan village but after that forced the grind. I tried restarting HB and even manually doing the initial quests in binan hoping to get it back on track but to no avail. The two times this happened were both for melee toons (feral druid and ret pally). I am not sure if it has anything to do with that. My mage and elem shammy went on to quest like normal. It gave me a popup window in both instances saying that a grind to the next level will be done and asking me if I want to continue profile or if I want to stop. there was no choice to continue questing. If you choose stop, HB will totally stop botting and when you try to start it again it gives the same error message, giving you no choice but to wait the long grind and forget about questing on that toon completely. Anyone have any idea how to work around this issue? sorry if this may have been raised and addressed before but I did my fair part of searching the forums but found only 1 similar post for a low level(40+) situation of the grind.
Here are the two logs for both the paladin and the druid. both issues started at lvl 77 when I tried to transition from VoTFW to Kun Lai. These were the only ones i found with any info about forced grind. thank you and i hope I uploaded the right ones
Hi, Elizamanatha2013, and many thanks for the logs. From your 6812 2013-04-26 13.28.txt log, it looks like you may be suffering from cache corruption. Try clearing the caches. You can find full instructions here: HelpDesk: Cache corruption problems cheers, chinajade
Thank you chinajade! I did that and it did work! at first i thought it didn't but seems like i missed deleting the cache inside the data folder. I really appreciate it!
I had the same experience but, unlike Elizamantha I never thought to start a thread. The solution that worked for me was to return to Valley of the Four Winds and to load the bot for that area. I sent the bot back into Binan Village once it had gained another level and it worked from there.
