It means everyone that tried to login or authenticate while they were being DDoS'ed, got banned, so just a simple reset of your IP would fix it.
LOL I find it hilarious that someone would DDoS HB/GB and can find the only reason to do so would be because HB/GB is the best out there and the competition feels the heat! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BOSS and team!
A Distributed Denial of Service attack In this case its a DDOS of massive magnitude, aka Zombie attack Funny words innit... They take over loads of computers or implement a remote trigger, wich sends loads of idiotic packages against a target. in this case the AUTH server. Making it impossible for any1 else to gain entry.
Why should we be compensated? it's not like Bossland Ddos'd his own server's. Do you post on blizz's forum's asking for compensation when the server's are down for maintenance? these things happen and there is no way stopping them.
It seems to work as long as you got in before the attack. Mine has been running all day. Just cant log in on another acc without getting the auth failure. I got lucky this morning and got in.
yeah i know one of mine is running but im working one coding stuff and need to get online with my test accounts i so want a no auth version maybe have to put in a key per use?
I agree. It's been proven before that even with the current authentication system, Honorbuddy is easily cracked. It might help paying customers to have a key-file based system. The only thing the online-authentication really does to help with however, is to keep the 3-user limit. You aren't just going around having a thousand copies running. Edit: I just realized my ISP doesn't give me a new IP for changing my mac address, it's got some sort of timed lock =/ Well I can't login atm, hope there's something that can be done.
