Hi, I just would like to know if the Honor Buddy team is actually trying to develop a way to counter Blizzard's new detection method, or just hoping Blizzard will magically bring back their old system. Let's face it, the ban's are most likely automated and wont stop. So I would like to know is Honor Buddy working on something or ignoring the problem. The community deserves to know, even if your doing nothing about it. Thanks.
I would like to think so. But, I doubt it. I am sure this thread will just get smashed by the fan boys saying the only reason people are getting banned is because they are not botting smartly.
Forget shoulders enchants and that is all. You dont need to farm 12 hours for 10k. I was allways farming 6-8 h before for 10-20k. In MOP botters have wrong aproach- Endless farming. This never been before.
A new counter-measure is to turn the bot off. There is something I could make but I need to make it first, it helps detect Player Reports but I'm currently making a 1-90 questing... I think after the lowering of the theshold of player reports required for an auto-ban makes BGBuddy even more dangerous for botters than before, some people who get reported using GB2 usually don't generate enough reports to trigger a ban but those doing GB2 and then use BGBuddy... .
there is no new method. it's the same it's been for a couple years now, they are just progressively getting more aggressive with it. A year ago you could run gatherbuddy for 6 hours in a row several times a day and last many weeks, months even. And when you got a ban they'd reverse it immediately after appeal. Now you get banned within a week, and can't run more than 3 hours TOTAL of gb2 per day. and they dont reverse most bans. not much bosslands can do about it. this is server-side detection, if you fly around gathering for more than a couple hour per day every day your account WILL be examined, and sadly it's pretty easy to tell a bot mining and herbing for an hour straight from a human doing the same thing.
The thing that annoys me the most is not knowing how we are being banned. For example, I am botting on 4 accounts, last night I was botting on 3 accounts, exactly the same way, running gatherbuddy profile, same plugins, same time, same amount of hours run, 1 of the accounts gets permabanned, 2 don't. So what triggered the account that got closed and how did the other 2 get away with it? It's shit like that I wish I knew so I could prevent it from happening in the future and maybe the developers should be looking in to it.
