Hi again, Hind,

Without a log, we don't know if anything's going wrong for you or not. You can find more information here about why Quest profiles will grind on occasion.

I let the bot run a while so you can check the logs to see if anything looks off. I'm pretty sure the bot should be in Ashenvale, but the bot ran to the southern barrens entrance by the northen barrens and it keeps getting killed now by level 30 NPCs. Here is the log:

Hi, Hind, and thanks for the log.

[02:47:39.133 D] Goal: Train Riding: In Progress

Your toon is trying to train riding. Since you have "Use Flightpaths" turned off, it is having to take the ground route, which sends you into dangerous territory:
[02:39:56.578 D] UseFlightPaths: False

Just go train riding manually, then restart the bot. You should be good to go after that. You might also consider turning on "Use Flightpaths".

cheers,
chinajade

Thanks!

I'm not sure why flight paths were turned off, but I turned it on and bought the riding skill manually.

I'm lagging alot when i encounter monsters and npc's. However when the character is flying he does not lag. Also when honorbuddy is off he does not lag. I'll post a log if that will help. Also in this log there is a quest that was a problem. The couldren quest in burning cursade. The character just boils one blood and walks 10 feet away and waits there and it says "waiting for black caulron to spawn" However the cauldren stays there and doesnt unspawn.

Hi, Silvaman, and thanks for the log.

From your log, you successfully interacted with the cauldron:

It looks like the WoWclient refused to mark the quest as 'complete' after this interaction, when it should have. The only explanation I have for this is a WoWclient glitch. The profile was obviously trying to recover from the situation, but the WoWclient refused to cooperate.

Some of the retries were delayed because other players were in the area. We will not compete with other players for quest resources. As to do such, invites whispers and reports from other players, and we err on the side of caution by not competing with them.

cheers,
chinajade

every time i try and load a profile i get an error and my honor buddy closes down. i cant use any profiles for questing but when i use dungeons or pvping it works fine.

Hi, Teekneek, and thank you for the log.

Somehow, you've managed to damage your Honorbuddy installation. Please do a 'clean install' by carefully following these instructions:

Hi, Someguy,

No chance of helping you, unless you attach the full log that demonstrates the problem.

First time posting and attaching a log, so I hope I did it properly.

Anyway, I'm on my WW Monk and trying to quest in Townlong Steppes. And for some reason, when I load the Townlong Steppes profile, the bot takes me to the nearest flight point and flies no where. So I figured maybe if I went and grabbed all the flight points myself, it'll help the bot get it where its trying to go - which didn't do anything. I even tried manually picking up the quests. Which somewhat helped, but it didn't really do any of the quests. It just killed everything nearby. I tested out the Kun-Lai profile to see if maybe it was just the Townlong profile that was messed up. But it did the same thing.

I'm assuming its some error on my part since I just started using these forums as well as honorbuddy. So please let me know what I can do to help solve this problem. Thanks for the help!

Edit: I guess I should also note that I even downloaded the SVN program and updated everything to make sure it wasn't out of date.

Hi, CameronJ3, and many thanks for the log!

You seem to be doing everything correctly. The profile looks like it is operating as designed:
[06:00:06.679 D] Character is a level 88 Undead Monk
...
[06:00:37.403 D] Goal: Grinding to level 88.5

You can find more information about this here:
[post=1067373]HelpDesk: Grinding while executing a Questing profile[/post]

If you are stuck at the taxi stop, that's usually because you logged out and back into the WoWclient or reloaded the WoWclient UI, without restarting Honorbuddy. That causes Honorbuddy to become 'partially unhooked' from the WoWclient, and causes things like "stuck at taxi stop". You may need to follow this procedure to clear that up, if you are truly stuck at a taxi stop:

cheers & welcome aboard,
chinajade

In The Rear with the Gear tries to collect Twilight Supplies without killing the slavedrivers and proveditors first. It only kills them if aggroed and attacked. Profile needs to make toon kill them then collect the gear that the slaves drop. Moving from hotspot to hotspot hoping someone killed them and left some behind or waiting to get in aggro radius takes too long and wastes time.

@Kick this looks like another fail of the HBcore "collect" <Objective>.
~Line 829 of the [Fly][N - Quest] Hyjal 80-82 [Kick].xml profile:

<Objective QuestName="In the Rear With the Gear" QuestId="25234" Type="CollectItem" ItemId="52568" CollectCount="36" />

Here is [post=1155630]another post with the same problem[/post] on a different quest. I've also seen the same thing in the DK starter profile.

We seriously need to get HBcore fixed, or switch the collect objectives to CollectThings or InteractWith.

Thanks for the quick reply, Chinajade. I did as you suggested and it still doesn't seem to be working properly. I loaded up the Townlong Steppes profile and am currently running (not mounted btw) to the very beginning area of Kun-Lai via Kota Peak. No idea why I'd be running to the early quests of Kun-Lai when I'm trying to quest in Townlong.

Haha whoops! There you are. :)

Hi again, CameronJ3, and thank you for the fresh log.

The profile appears to be operating correctly. You are level 88, and it is grinding until you are level 88.5.
[06:59:36.695 D] Character is a level 88 Undead Monk
...
[06:59:38.837 D] Goal: Grinding to level 88.5

This is what the profile is *supposed* to be doing, as previously stated.
Ref: [post=1067373]HelpDesk: Grinding while executing a Questing profile[/post]

I also find no evidence that you are hung up at a taxi stop. Just please let the profile run, or find another profile more to your liking.

cheers,
chinajade

Hey Chinajade,

I have another question for you. I'm just watching the bot right now, and I see that it keeps bouncing back and fourth between two spots on the map and the bot is only killing NPCs. I'm not sure what is going on, but it's not doing any questing. I don't know if it is supposed to be doing that, or if it is glitched out.

View attachment 5176 2013-05-17 23.50.txt

Thanks again for the help.

After doing some research on honorbuddy and profiles (specifically this one), I understand how it works now. Goal 88.5 meaning the profile probably wont start questing til that prerequisite is met, I'm assuming? Like I said before, I'm new to all this, so I apologize for any uhh... aggravation. :P Anyway, thanks for the help and the quick replies!

Cheers.
