You have to check "Run wow in 32bit mode" in the launcher settings

Getting the very same issue on my computer (running Windows 8) and WoW in 32 bits (no, not 64 bits, but 32 bits).

Some norwegian words there :) I guess the latest release of HB have issues with Windows 8.

Good luck getting this solved. It's summertime, break in gaming either way :)

heres the problem i have since im not german its hard for me to translate out what exactly the issue is, i have a feeling its related to you not having the correct frameworks and not running the 32bit version of wow. however we ONLY support use of honorbuddy on real hardware machines, if you can get it working on a VM then good for you, but its not real hardware and that can be problematic.

if you need help, then make your OWN thread in the support section.

HB latest release works fine on latest VMWare running Win8. Tested 5 minutes ago here.
Must be a .NetFramework Issue or a wrong setup.
Make sure to start WoW in DX11 and 32Bit Mode. Login to your char and then start HB as Administrator.
      It should work then.

      1. Remove both Wow-64.exe and Scan-64.dll from the World of Warcraft client folder
      2. Start the WoW-Launcher
      3. Select "Options" and click "Restore Defaults"
      4. Change "Display Mode" into "Windowed"
      5. Change "Graphics API" into "DirectX 9"
      6. TICK "Launch 32-bit client"
      7. Click "OK"
      8. Click PLAY

      On the login-screen, bottom-left, you should see "Version 5.3.0 (16992) (Release x86)"

If you see a message like "Could not find critial files" or something similar, run the "Repair Tool" from the Launcher :

      1. Select "Help"
      2. Select "Repair Tool"

The launcher should show "Repairing game data..."
Give it the time it needs.

      Restart the game.

      Happy botting :)
