Paid About a week ago my main account got banned so I decided to never bot on it again. My friend gave me his account since he wasn't using it. I started botting on his account just yesterday. Maybe 15 hours of botting in total on it and already banned. I monitored it the whole time during the day and then I would set logmeout for 4 hours after I went to sleep and that's it really. The account was working when I woke up and about 12 hours later when I decided to run the bot again I find that the account is banned. Not sure where I went wrong...
1st time, for 15 hours straight? Cmon .... its more than obvious, and since we already have unknown server side scripts running from around two months, which autoban majority of the gather bots, you should bot smarter to survive under the radar!
This. In addition it you were selling massive amounts of ore in the trade channel or to private buyers that is also a huge no no, probably a bigger no no than using the profile. It is easy to report botters from the trade channel because "WTS (Insert rediculous amount of ore here) for (Undercutting the auction house price here)" is a giant red alert. As well private buyers will always turn on you eventually. Also you say you monitored 70% of an estimated 12 hours. That means you would be staring at your computer screen for around 8.4 hours. Come now I have "watched" myself bot (when I'm really watching TV) only to look down and notice I'm stuck and wondering "how long was my toon stuck in that spot?"
I wouldn't post the amount or price in trade chat. I would just saying something like "WTS Green tea leaf in bulk" so I doubt that was it. And I play on 2 monitors so I just have the game running on one and watch a movie or something on the other one so I usually notice if anything happens. Edit: After submitting a ticket they reduced the perm ban to a 72 hour suspension. Any suggestions what I should do now? I don't want to completely stop botting but it seems like no matter how hard I try I still get banned.
wait til the suspension is over, play the character(s) a little by hand for a few days then go back to botting. Thats what I will be doing. Blizzard cant afford to lose too many subs with them delaying Titan and them losing so many people as it is.
This is my second banned in less than a week... I don't see how I will be able to go back into botting seeing as I get caught so easily no matter how hard I try.
How do you get a reduced ban, everytime i appeal they stick to their guns. But for everyone else here i see many getting second chances now.
second ban in less than a week, then for that I would hold off from botting for a little bit and pay by hand for a little bit. Also try botting other things if bans are happening that fast for you, like instead of farming do pvp or run tyreal or lazyraider and do some dungeons / lfr on it for a bit. As for them sticking to their guns on appeals this is the 1st time I have ever had a ban overturned out of the 6 perma banned accounts I am now up to.
