I monitored this profile for a few hrs before going to bed and letting it run. I woke to find it mounted in a tree struggling to get out. I cleaned the bags and went to work and then received the email on my smartphone telling me I had been banned.
It was probably an in game report if you were stuck in a tree for that long... Also, how many auctions did you have on the account running throughout it's period? Such as how did you get rid of the farmed materials, and is gathering the only thing you do on that account?
Hey, I assumed player report too, seems logical. This account had just started and only been running for 1day and all gathered mats were put into a gbank managed by my other account. This account was also used for arena and had full Tyran + profs. Name was legit (no funny letters). Just a blackspot I guess =/ Thought I'd just give the heads up to anyone using this profile to watch it and edit the blackspots. I can't find the profile on the forums as a friend sent it to me. EDIT: I have made a ticket with Blizzard appealing my ban. Once I receive a reply I will let you know how I go... UPDATE: Life ban has been reduced to a 72hr ban
you should make your own profiles alot of people use gatherit private profiles so they wil known best thing is to be save make them self with zaprecorder or hotspot recorder

Hey guys, update! This is the reply I got to my beautifully crafted ticket Greetings, An additional review of the action has been completed. We have confirmed our initial findings, and the action will not be reversed or changed, however, due to there not being any pror actions of this type on the account the penalty has been reduced from a closer to a 72 hour suspension with a final warning. Please be aware that account security is your responsibility. If you leave your computer logged in and someone else hops on, there is no indication someone else is playing. Any one can say someone else used their account after leaving it logged on. Allowing someone on your account even through inaction, such as leaving your accoutn logged in, is a violation of the terms of use. As a result, you WILL be held accountable for any actions on the account done by that person, so you must ensure your acocunt is logged out any time you step away and there is a risk of someone else getting on. We understand that you may still have concerns regarding the action, but we must reiterate that it was taken to address a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation), which all players accept before logging into the game. We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to enjoy their time in our games. Thank you for respecting our position.
