Usually I don't start stupid threads but I feel like for me personally this one is warranted.

I've been out of the botting scene for awhile and with the recent sale I thought perhaps its time to buy a new account and give it another go.

However I have been active in the forums as of late and it seems like the ban rate has gone through the roof and that many people believe that at this point HB has been partially detected and that it is only a matter of time before we're all wiped out.

Has anyone had a good botting experience lately? Example being able to bot for 8+ hours and actually make some gold without being banned?

      Any responses are greatly appreciated.

      Best,
      -Aerie

yp , man i believe that they actually enforced their detection on gathering especially in gatherbuddy in pandaria. For me personally i have other methods farming one account 12hrs a day been doing it for a month now and making 30k gold / day

i don't use GB2 in Pandaland anymore, i mainly use it in the older zones ;)
currently making roughly 10k a day selling cobalt/saronite ore, and Elementium/Obsidium ore. (on each account i use)
Cobalt is selling for 100g + a stack, Saronite is 70-100g, Elementium ore is selling for 50-60g a stack, and obsidium ore is selling for 80-100g a stack atm.
So overall its actually better (on my realm) to sell the old mats, than the "new" ghost iron ore - that sells for 50g a stack.
Pet's aint really worth it on my realm, whelps are selling for 2-3k. P-Macaw's are worth 7k TOPS.

mounts aint worth it, the mats are more expensive.. enchants aint that profitable either..

all in all, it depends on ur realm ;) for me its worth it to keep the bots running 24/7.. having profiles for almost all the zones..
frostweave cloth farming is also profitable on my realm, close to 100g a stack - so having a DK do that is superb.

Atleast that's how i do it ;) and i don't really recive any whispers or player reports (aka. bans) via. farming old zones..

Oh, btw: I've already started to save up for the next expansion, i ussualy sell most of my gold there.. even tho it's a few weeks of "Prime" its quite often worth it to me, since i have a chinese buyer that i "trust" enough to just take it out of my GB and send me the gold :p - selling 100k at a time ..

Blizzard is stepping up their game on detection, one of which being literal detection of the bot in the game but this was circumvented. They are also putting more foot down on in-game reports and banning, but literal detection is very slim. I don't think many people understand how easy it is for people to tell they're botting with Gatherbuddy, and the botting community and peoples awareness will only grow. The other botbases and functions of Honorbuddy have relatively similar banrates as normal.

My experience of the last six months especially is they are banning more on server side detection much heavier and if you have a mark on your IP like I do you are FUCKED! I'm having to do things differently now but botting is worth it just don't have any link to your main

It is extremely unlikely for the bot to be detected by the WoW client. The warden it uses, and the new honorbuddy opcode have been worked around. They won't say exactly how obviously to maintain the integrity of the method they used, but it's safe to assume it's not "server" detection. The honorbuddy tripwire would go off, immediately stopping the bot. Also, IP detection has been rather controversial in terms of how Blizzard bans. All we know is that they can herd accounts together if they can assertain they're on the same network, computer, or combination of the two, which may not be exactly linked to IP. This is why people use VMWare to virtualize computers and spare some accounts from herded bans, VP-N's are also used to reroute the internet portion of it.

Blizzard is luring botters with these kind of extra cheap offers to buy more accounts, then guess what. They get banned very soon.

Oh I know to keep my eye out for these sales. I figured I'd buy the account and let it sit for a few weeks before doing anything with it.

Seems like botting really is doing well right now, however perhaps with the proper use you can stay safe and still make decent profits.
