I have been playing wow on and off for a year and i continue to make a character, level it to 80-90 area then delete it and make another because i don't know what race/class to play I really want a main but im having a hard time choosing and sticking to a main and now lately im even having trouble if to play horde or ally and even which realm to play on can anybody help ??
Find a place with people you like and want to be around. It'll make deciding what server/faction you want to be on easier. As for class/race stuff, do yourself a favour and stop deleting your high level characters. Just push them aside for a while. If you don't go back to them, no big deal. But deleting them takes away your options, man. It may take time to find a combination you like, but you will find it. Just give yourself the opportunity to experiment and explore.
If you're unsure of what realm/faction to play on it sounds like you haven't found any social group yet for WoW. I would recommend working that out first, MMOs are far more interesting when you have other people to play with. All the things you can accomplish seem even more pointless if you don't have anyone to share them with. Once you find people you enjoy hanging out with, you can start building a roster of characters and settle on what you want to play.
I know what you mean, I've switched "Mains" about 4 times since starting again 4 months ago. Paladin - Warlock - Druid now back to Pally. Something about each class draws me, but once I get it I want smth else. It's human nature to want something different. I kind of wish I had the dedication to stick with one character so it will be decked out etc, but the account wide achievements and mounts do help though.
