[Warlock] Kanrethad Ebonlocke (Green Fire) ~ PureRotation Style

This is awesome. I swear to god I tried this boss and after way to many wipes (79wipes) I just gave up. So I tought lets give this profile a try and what do you know. It only took me 2 tries and that was because I forgot to refresh my pit lord. Thank you so much !!!!

i may have a suggestion, for the fel hunter phase, why not ordering the pit lord to be passive and then do the move to ? that way, well be certain he wont aggro the mobs
EDIT: after around 70 whipes, i finally got it, on the last try of the day, how awsome is that !

 

Let me just say, there is NO possible way I could have done the green fire boss without this. I mean ... absolutely no way lol I'm just not that good under pressure. I got really frustrated though with that Pit Lord cause he was doin what a few others were talkin about ... would try to get him to go to LoS (put him on passive and all) and he'd say NOOOPE I'm gonna go do more breathy stuff! But after like ... Oh I dunno I lost count but I think it was nearing the 45 tries mark, I finally did it! I had to press escape a ton to make my character stop attacking/targeting Ebon so the Pit Lord would listen to the Move To command. I tried pausing and all but it just wouldn't really work out so finally I just drank some wine and after half a glass that damn fool went down!

Whats funny is I almost hearthed out without getting the fire lol. Didn't see the mouse icon to click the dude til ALMOST too late. Lordy I'm blonde.

It worked last night but today the move pit lord part of the CR is not working. On Semi automatic mode or automatic. I have no idea why this is happening. It goes fel imp phase, kill them, cataclysm, interrupt and then the CR skips the move pit lord before the felhunter transition.

Also, how do I get the Pit Lord to stop the Cataclysm between the Felhunter and the Doomlord phase? I don't always finish the Felhunters so I kite them outside of the range near the back steps and the Cataclysm goes off, and kills my Demonic gateways so I have to put them back up. Does the Pit Lord only charge the Cataclysm in between those two phases if you finish him off?

 

You do know you need to move the pit lord yourself right? You're better off pausing the routine and clicking to move it.

As for stopping Cataclysm, there's nothing special as to why it shouldn't stop it. You obviously need to have the pit lord enslaved. I wouldn't move too far away from the center either, certainly not off down the stairs.

 

Well at 470 ilvl I've been unable to nuke the shit out of the felhunters in time before the next cataclysm. Blizzard being ridiculous only gives you about 20 seconds to kill all three of them before he kills them again. I have been pausing the rotation to move him myself but last night on full automatic the part where it shows the green circle for me to move him was there and all i had to to was put him in the corner. Since today it hasn't been doing that. No idea why. I think I figured out that the Pit Lord only Charges the Cataclysm when he's on follow, is attacking Kanrethad and have him targeted. If one of the three isn't present then he won't do it. This at least applies specifically to that phase, no idea why. After I kite the Fel Hunters out of the Cataclysm range and kill them I run back. Pause the rotation, Banish a Doom Lord, put my demonic gateway up because either the range or cataclysm is killing them. Turn the rotation back on. Wait for Kanrethad to summon the imps, then dismiss and re-enslave the Pit Lord. Somewhere towards the end of that process my health gets nuked, might be due to the aggro or the dots, not sure. It's not the Doom DOT expiring though, I do know that. Put about 8 hours into this total and I've only been able to get him down to 50 percent. I guess I just don't have the ilvl and burst for the fight yet. I'm doing like 50k at 470 ilvl.

 

ilvl 470? You'd be better off focusing on getting some better gear then going back. The difference between ilvl 470 and ilvl 500 is huge. ilvl 500 is pretty easy to get these days.

 

Lol yeah pretty easy when you've been running LFRs weekly and have good RNG. I did all four world bosses and 4 of the 5 LFRs I can do and got about 4 drops total, which isn't all too bad except for the world bosses giving me gold every time. I've definitely mastered the fight now. I got Kanrethad down to 28% and I get the Felhunters down much faster now. The only problem last night was after using the Purification potion twice I couldnt use it a third time after spam clicking the shit out of it and the doom curse got me. I've made it past both Felhunter phases so I'm gonna try to get this Ahune cloak and see if TOES has anything nice then try it again.

 

Something that really helped me, for the imps phase, i got out of range a bit of the gateway so the imps had to come stack on the boss, and my rain of fire + the deamon's aoe 1 shotted em litterally. This was why i whipped around 70 times, the imps.

 

Yeah I started doing that too. It helped immensely.

 

Well When He Summons the Felhounds, My Pitlord needs Hours for Getting in His Position, then he gets catched and its a Wipe for me, what can i do?

E: Made it to Put Him behind the Pillar, after the Third Felhound Spawn he got Dispelled anyway?
E? : This only Happens to me in the 2nd Felhunterphase

 

I kite them towards the back left pillar if you are facing the big ass portal kanrethad comes out of. Stay on the far left of it. Target and attack the felhunters. The CR will use Soulshatter and Kanrethad will target the Pit Lord. Once you kite them far enough and slightly out of LoS if it takes you that long you can nuke them without worrying about Devour Magic. The message will still get spammed on your screen but you'll still have the Pit Lord.

 

One thing my hubby showed me is that as long as the felhounds are facing the Pit Lord at all they dont seem to eat the enslave. I tried it a couple times and it always worked they didn't dispel (let the pit lord help kill em) as long they they absolutely positively weren't at all facing towards him and you have full aggro on em. My main issues after I got a hold of the fight was 1) remembering to re-enslave right before 2nd fel pup phase and 2) just bad luck with AI/RNG lol. Either way its something to know in case it helps

Quadroon that helped immensely. The first time I tried this I ran out of time on the second curse of doom when Kanrethad was at 1% the attempt after the next (my fifth attempt today) I did this again and was able to put way more damage on Kenrethad because of it. Thank you for the helpful tip.

And Millz, thank you for making this adding this amazing customization to an already amazing CR. I got my ilvl to 480, gemmed, reforged and got it after 5 attempts.

 

How to make it work on locale other than english?

 

You can open the Destruction.cs file and edit the parts where its got /cast Cataclysm etc to whatever the equivilant is in your language - may work...
