Perm banned but overturned, suggestions from creators because I DID want to buy it

None now but I wasn't using an auto-unstuck feature which I should have.
6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
Anywhere from 1 to 5 depending, most days none though.
6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
About 80%. I was paranoid this would happen
7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
Not many, I only auctioned every few days if that and the last time I put anything on the AH was days ago.

Actual Paid, and an old school account since vanilla

So I was just permabanned but the ruling was over turned. -

Which makes it disheartening for me since I actually used this to just have my hands free since I'm preoccupied with some major other real life issues that demanded my time. I would be watching it to make sure things didn't get out of hand but I literally went to the bathroom, came back and was offline only to find out I was permabanned. This happened earlier this morning. The response time was pretty fast from them and they DID overturn it, but now I'm even more paranoid about using the product again and buying it out full (I have previously purchased several day passes for Honorbuddy and then a monthly one and was about to sign up for the perm. access).

 

I forgot to add the initial email DID say they detected the bot too. Not suspected. I think they have found a new way to detect the program possibly? I wasn't doing anything weird and I was literally only gone five, maybe ten minutes max.

 

If they had detected you botting for real, you would never ever get access to your account again!

You were simply reported, or triggered autoban for some reason.

Most likely autoban, just because it got opened right after appeal.

 

What did you say in your appeal to get it back right away? My appeal was set for 72h suspension.

 

OMG. Don't listen to this guy. The bot is ABSOLUTELY detectable. All these fanboys have all these silly reasons why it's not detectable but I'll tell you very simply how it is...

You agreed to the TOS that states you ALLOW blizz to scan your computer outside of WOW for other programs. THIS MAKES IT LEGAL FOR THEM TO DO SO. HB runs in plain sight, so it is very easily detectable. As for the silly statement "If they had detected you botting for real, you would never ever get access to your account again!", this isn't true. They gave him/her a scare with the perma ban, then a slap on the wrist as a warning to stop botting. This way, blizz gets to keep a sub and hopefully for them you stop botting.

Here's the TOS that WE ALL agreed to that 99.9% of you don't read (It is the only part of the TOS that is 100% in caps. lol)...

@ Loves2bot, if they could detect HB, this forum would crash from the posts trying to get into the ban section. I remember when they got glider there where 10 new threads per second until the forum crashed.

Search the forums to find out what is legal or illegal? LOL. By AGREEING to allow them to do it, you make it legal. It is illegal for a cop to search your car when you are pulled over without a warrant. If he asks if he can and you consent, it is now LEGAL for him to search your car and if he finds the dead body in the trunk, you will be getting a PERMA-BAN. Same thing here. You have agreed to let them do it and now they can. Do you really think all these bans are based completely on player reports? And what...A GM ports to every bots position and goes...."yeah...he's moving around like a bot...PERMA BAN!!!". ROFL. You Bossland fanboys are so naive.

I just told them that I was a paying customer since the game came out and I was tending to some rather important real life while dealing with lag from the storms in my area (that was all true by the way, I kept getting crappy weird lag NOT botting and it was screwing me up something fierce). They saw it and basically said the slap on the wrist bit - shit turned out alright this time but next time ya probably won't get so lucky. Putting it in laymen's terms.

I'm not botting on my main account anymore or if I am, it's while im sitting here literally watching it while eating or something and just don't want to be bothered with clicking on nodes or enchanting/disenchanting crap. I'm not losing literally years of effort for a few easy gold.

 

ya, i remember being caught in at least 3 real detected banwaves back in the WoW/mmo glider days. The forums will be down due to every customer trying to post lol. sorry for your luck, i was banned today too from using gatherbuddy.
