Right so im going to break this downand you give me your honest opinion. Before i begin, Be aware that: May 30th, Account "BANNED" and Reopennd 3 miniutes later, before i could even appeal WHY. After a careful investigation of your account closure, we have agreed to remove the suspension of your account from the World of Warcraft servers. This change has already been put into effect, and your account should again be available for play. My response was wtf-ish REPLY: ------------------------------------------- -------------------------- ------------- Today, i wake up and my account was Perma Suspended. Appeal 1: I appealed them and told them that i INFACT was botting but only because my real life issues were so depressing i needed to take my mind off things and i tried botting for 2 days and this was the result, and how sorry i was and that it was foolish nd would NEVER happen again ( email was 3 paragraphs long explaining and regretting ) GM RESPONSE: APPEAL 2 Further explaination of my circumstances, asking them to find it in their hearts to understand Why i used the bot and that i am very sorry, while maintaiing the curtousy of a Gentleman. Also a bit more of Regret in there tossed in with a Ill never do it again. Heres where it gets interesting. GM Reply 2: Appeal CLOSED: New Appeal Opened My question is.... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM - Waiting on a response because thats F'ing BS.
And just now. the NEW ticket which i created at the end of the post, was changed to "CANCELLED" and i can no longer add any information. Fking ignorant.
very intersting indeed just one thought did you run other accounts that were banned before on the _same_ machine with same i mean same hardware ID, maybe same IP (if static) MAYBE they "collect" all Bans taken place on your hardware and as i saw your post on rndbuddy it seems u got more than one account anyhow: great topic and great thing to think about! Thanks for sharing!
That's a load of bull. Did you not read the recent changes in their TOS before you scrolled down and hit accept? It now states that they gather you HDD serial number, CPU ID and a couple of other bits of info now. https://eu.battle.net/account/legal/anticheating.html there is the link the the new "Anti-Cheat TOS" as you can see on section 2 point (iii) and I quote "(iii) the Windows Process List to determine if any confirmed hacking or cheating programs are presently open in violation of the Blizzard Games Terms of Use". Also I hope you are not one of the sheep that says "Blizz can't do that because it's illegal" by contract law a TOS is a contract between 2 or more people which guidelines and information is set up and is a binding contract. So you signing Blizz TOS you ARE giving them permission to gather said information and also giving them permission for their "Anti-Cheat" software A.K.A "Warden" to gather info about your machine by using Microsofts API that's built into windows. I am currently looking into some software that will potentially block them calling the API for the windows processes that are running. For the other people and mods that say Blizz doesn't read the CTRL+ALT+DEL processes instead of just saying "It's Illegal or they don't scan outside of the Wow.exe" please give us proof that they don't as I have once already posted proof that they do scan the taskmanager processes but ofcourse as usual the thread got closed.
the GM said they track the PID from the computer, when we run a 3rd party program jt uses a PID ( Process Identification) Which in turn uses the threads onyour CPU. the GM said that they can track the PID's on your computer to detect 3rd party software, the PID also runs off the Random Access memory (RAM). so, im not sure but botting just isnt safe anymore. To be quite honest, you could run a bot in Outland (with avoid players) for days and not get caught, because MOP is a terrible place to run a bot, and you can make 3x as much gold selling Adamantite, Fel iron, Mithril, Saronite etc.
one thing i can confirm is that blizz is saving the HardwareID and Public IP (and NO, they dont save the mac) at least when using an Authenticator proofed several times i'd agree on the IP and Hardware suspects tho
I will guarentee that they are storing the Hardware IDs now as people sometimes use a *** to "Hack" themselves. Now as blizz has the hardware its not going to be possible to use a *** and hackyourself to sell gold or delete your toons. They will see the same HW IDs and just laugh at you.
I bet you can guarantee us that! Like guarantee with your virginity perhaps? Stop spreading rumors please! Actually, Blizzard simply save a unique ID on your account in their Windows registry, anytime you login to the servers. That way, they store personal-based information, like using authenticator, etc. P.S. There is not such technical therm like Hardware ID: 1. Blizz are not allowed to collect, store and use your hardware details, simply because of breaking the privacy, and no, they do-not-do-that! Simply because the legal actions towards them will overwhelm any advance, they could achieve against the botters. 2. This is much harder than storing locally simple string in the Windows registry, just like all the browsers do with the cookies, that way, even if you change your IP, mac etc., that ID is kept the same.
Imtakingusrs. Please tell me what part of the privacy will they be breaking when as i posted not a few posts above that under contract law "their terms of service" you are giving them permission to collect hardware ids. In regards to there not being such a technical term of hardware ids I will post up from the drivers section of a pc that i have that has no connection to wow a screen print of the part that will clearly show that you are talking out of your rear end and that such a term does exist. Unless you can give me proof that there isnt.
contract law cannot override law already in place i.e if you write a contract giving someone permission to kill you, it still breaks the law. either way, OP can still keep appealing but I don't think they're gonna give it back ^^. i get the impression that sometimes people bot on accounts that they really don't want to lose and really care about that account.
Wait, if you allow a remote I.T. person to access your computer, and he opens your processes, can he be put in jail? All cats die Abraham Lincoln died Abraham Lincoln was a cat
I meant that law already in place is prioritized over contract law, violating the Computer Misuse Act doesn't result often in a jail sentence...
If you allow someone to access your computer to obtain data (i.e. tos) then they can access your computer to obtain data. You are allowed to access THEIR game servers if you agree to this. You reserve the right to say no at any time. Just as they reserve the right to not allow you access their servers.
ToS has some points which validated by law and it has some points which are in a grey area and would require a court to decide on what is legal (i.e MMOGlider case changed warden to not scan outside WoW.exe, although ToS stated that it can scan your RAM etc it was still illegal to do in the US but not EU as it has not gone through court) although once again we are going offtopic, and the whole point of OP's constant appealing is that he cared about the account he botted on which he never should have done.
