Hey, so I just got perma-banned on my account today, I recieved no e-mail telling me this, but I was playing at the time, I got kicked and when I tried to relog it told me my account was deleted. Hoping that the fact that I could appeal to the ban a few minutes after it happened would be a big advantage to me, I immedietly contacted Blizzard. 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? I mostly ran BGbuddy 2)If so, when was the last time?: Yesterday evening. 3)What profile were you using?: BGbuddy 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Superbad - Feral druid 5)What plugins are you using?: Antidrown, Autoequip, iGlue 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 5-10 6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 10% 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: None 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No 10)EU or US realm? EU 11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid account. I appealed to Blizzard, and this was their response: The important part is this: Following a review of your case, we can confirm that such program has been used on several occasions by your account, and that the subsequent action taken is appropriate. Does that mean they detected the bot? They marked the case as resolved to stop me from answering, but I'll keep trying to get unbanned.
The interesting here is that they say that they are scanning your computer, on several occasions. I've read alot of threads that says that they can scan your computer within the law but i have a hard time trusting this. At least here in sweden there is no way our laws would allow that. As to your matter, what was your appeal ? Can you post it ?
You get flagged for review after multiple players reports, obviously. Noone have scanned your computer, relax!
I am having no luck at all, I tried to play stupid, telling them that I had never used any hacks, and tried to pretend that I didn't know what "botting" meant. However they just kept telling me that they have made several tests and scans that revealed that I have been using an illigal 3rd party software, and then they shut my ticket down with "resolved". Guess I'll take a break from botting for a while...
I didn't bother playing the "stupid" card. I was up front and confessed. I also brought it to their attention that I have never before used a bot (which I truly haven't) or any cheating software and I have always abided by their rules and ToS. Lying about it in your first appeal, though, may affect how they respond to future appeals.
