Hello all, first post here. I got that last 25, i should have the account unlocked tonight (i think). I just wanted to share my story and hear some opinions. I was using the bot to farm for 3 days (not consecutive) around 5 hours each day +/-. Stormscale EU, pandaland on valley of the four winds. Got temp ban on day 3 after making 15k gold on AH. My question here is, was i reported? Server side script from blizz? etc..because i botted before, leveling but never got a warning, 24h ban etc...never, and the first time this happens i get a 72h and final warning? I find this the minimum strange, either they are being very agressive or i dont know...but with the current wow sub sheed..another 600k lost this month. Thing is, i didnt denied to bot (i dont really care because im beginning to have wow fatigue after so many years) but for a first..having a 72h and final warning is strange... Thoughts? Thanks in advance, ColdK
stormscale is extremely active and has very high population, player report is probably what caused it.
thanks shoxyz, i also think i was reported. I used to play on Outland EU and never had problems there, raised 2 to level 85 there...never actually botted to farm though, only to level. I find this strange, first time im ever confronted to this and its a 72h ban and final warning.
I got 3 chars leveling in Outland, and my main got banned there... you go to VOTW you'll get banned within 2 months. I no longer bot after a 72h ban (4th account, farming for gold to sell for raf), and I do other stuff to get gold and surprisingly I don't get banned . it's mostly all from player report, if you use my plugin PlayerReportsDetector you'll see the amount of people that target you and it may surprise you even when flying.
I understand, if i decide to play again i probably wont bot again, but how can i have a final warning if i never had a first to begin with? Probably i got the wrong GM to handle the issue...
there are many ways to bot for gold which avoids other players, a final warning = we know you're botting but we'll give you a chance to change. Looks like it's worked.
Yeah but shouldnt i have received a 24h ban first? Since it was the first my account got detected doing it ...
no, those bans are reserved for regular game issues (harrasing, being rude as fuck etc.). Botting/selling gold will in 80% of times net you a permanent ban, 15% 72h with final warning and i've seen some cases of 48h, which i give rest, the 5%
Oh, i see. Well...then the shit chat i had on the ticket after with the GMs...might not have been flathering to them...because i probably remember to indirectly give them the D in chat....well, if my account doesnt get restored i know why....probably
wait...talk about luck. This is the latest response from Customer Support: Greetings *****, Thanks for contacting us. I can see that your account suspension has ended and that you should now be able to login again. Please note that the suspension status on your Battle.net account management site will only disappear when you actually login in the game. Have fun. Kind regards, Game Master Dalaryous From the same guy who suspended me ...well, i have nothing against blizz at all, it was my decision in the first place anyway, just wanted to share my story and have some feedback about using HB. Didnt know i was so close to get perma banned...i guess their sub losses probably did helped me not getting the perma ban..
if its your first offense, they usualy reduce from permanent to 72h ban after 1-2 tickets, so i think you'd be ok either way
