was thinking of an easy way of leveling guild/capping freshly leveled toons with recent huge buff in guild arena exp and 16k conquest caps Plugin/Bot that would queue 2/3/5 bots (2 would be best i guess) for arena, accept arena, wait for match to start and leave if it is not a free win. This way it would farm guild XP and conquest really really fast (i found 1 out of every 4-5 matches on low mmr is free win), so 1 arena win every 5 minutes. By leaving so many matches, toon mmr would just get lower and lower, staying forever in free win land
^This. It wouldn't hurt anybody too, because the bots would just be in a low MMR, not hurting any other competitive players... Instead, might even help the other players by giving them free win when they don't give away free wins
Also this behaviour would not be instantly deemed as botting, a lot of real players do this, so no flags would be raised too
I see your point, and I approve it for my sole reasons. But as active forum reader, I must reveal you the truth: Its prohibited and not tollerated by the moderators to discuss botting into arenas, even if its for queue only. I guess its due to legal reasons, directly connected to the trials vs Blizzard, the Honorbuddy Developers have to deal with.
They said introducing HB into arenas would potentially harm the competitive scene or some bullshit like that. Making the bot queue for arena is pretty easy since you can do that with LUA. Making it happen wouldn't be too hard, but probably no one wants to.
Three years ago, on the scene was an arena bot from private developer, who made it for entertainment. The bot was helping alot with the wintrading, and I have used it from the very start, for 2-3 months prolly, claimed all achievments I wanted in the 2v2 and 3v3 brackets - had no enough accounts for 5v5. Soon after, the bot developer and his threads on the forums vanished off the scene. Later I heard, he received C&D letter from Blizzard, just like many other third party devs. So, such bots and plugins could barely leave the private scene.
