Rename Wow-64.exe to something else. Just rename it.

This is how I did it, rename Wow-64 to Wow-64.bak, then just launch Wow and it should be in 32 bit.

Go to your WoW installation location, ie mine is; C:/Program x86/World of WarCraft.
Rename WoW-64 to WoW-64.bak (to do this just first left click the application to ensure its selected, then right click and hit rename. You can even copy+paste this over it if you feel unsure about naming it. WoW-64.bak)
Then left click anywhere else to allow it it to rename.
      Open WoW.exe

All of these people telling you to rename executables, run the executable manually without using the launcher, and anything else is just silly. Don't waste your time on ANY OF IT. Three steps:

      1) Open the launcher.
      2) Go to Options -> Game Preferences.
      3) Select "Windowed Mode" and then make sure "Launch 32-bit Client" is selected.

      Bingo. You're ready to go.

Edit: In regards to the "32-bit not being usable after 5.4" issue, I believe it's up to the HB developers to make it usable with the 64-bit version instead of relying on what's being phased out.

Wow I just realized I was running in 64, I'm not sure for how long, but I always used to use this method mentioned. I changed the name of my Wow-64.exe to Wow-64bit.exe like suggested and it fixed the problem.

5.4 broke the launcher settings. From my own experience it will no longer launch the 32 bit executable (x64 Release is shown on the login screen). I added the URL to the topic on the official forums for anyone else that may come along.

Mine was showing x64 but since changing the name it shows x86 again as of today.

Battle.net Launcher and wtf 32 bit mode!

Ok, I am beta testing the Battle.net Launcher yet still want to run honorbuddy. If I rename my files won't that alter the updates for it and will it even run if I rename the files? This is so frustrating! Did Blizz make 64 bit standard so as to thwart botters?
