hey all, bought HB today and i was really excited, but when i got it i found alot of anoyying things. I cant run my mage, im heirlooms and good gear for more the 20 mins before dying - because the custom classes for mages are just terrible. both of them take about 3 seconds inbetween each spell and they often dont even do frostbolt.. Is there something i am missing? thanks
Those issues you describe are not happening to me, I've used Mephiles, it's not great but it'll do the job. Anyways try the Mephiles thread for support. (If that's the CC you've tried and experienced those issues with.)
No, its just bad timing. We're between stable releases. I suggest you find 1.9.6.1 out of the Archives forum--it was the last stable release, really. Although, I'm sure that opinion will have dissent. As far as CCs, * TheOneCC/Zeus works really well for Druid/Hunter/Warrior * Shadowstrike works really well for Rogue, and * the Mage that ships with HB isn't bad, although mages die a *whole* lot more than other classes. Just go with with 1.9.6.1 until a new stable release arrives. Watch the thread when new releases arrive before deciding to upgrade. Many early adopters do the Community a service by reporting bugs and all. From that, you can decide whether its worth it to upgrade. All the recent upgrades seem to require changes to CC, so watch for the authors of your favorite CCs (once you determine them) to adopt the new version. As I said, just a bad time to get started, but it will all settle out. Honorbuddy is an awesome product despite the rough patches. Oh, and one other thing. Almost every weekend from Fri-Sun evening, the Buddy servers get denial-of-serviced attacked from competitors. This gives us fits logging in, and it happens like clockwork. So, from Fri-Sun, expect to have problems connecting to the Buddy servers. cheers, CJ
I am currently leveling a mage and the trick is - well i don't know why - to restart (not stop) honorbuddy every few hours (8hrs or soemthing) as it seems to fail more and more the longer it runs. I am currently using the Project E CC and it works good..a few days ago i started with level 28..at the moment i am not far away from hitting 58! I started with "[QuestOrder] Horde Eastern Kingdoms 1-60" profile but then switched to "[HB2] Horde 1-60 (Originally by Bliik)" as it just runs a lot more better then questing...while using the questing profile i had several days where i woke up and went to the pc..seeing the bot running into a house full of mobs and duying...and he did that for something like 4 hours -_- so at the moment i really don't suggest using the quest mode...it will be awesome some day but at the moment you will be pretty faster with grinding.
Sorry, didn't mean to impugn any of the developers. I'm sure all of the CC's are good and have their fan base. I only spoke for the ones with which I've had personal experience. It was quickly supplemented by others. There's so much left to try. That's half the fun of Honorbuddy. The other CCs and DungeonBuddy and Instancebuddy are on my list too, but haven't had time to check them out. Apologies, if it came across wrong. cheers, CJ
im using the default mage what comes to the bot and going fine it wil use icebarrier spam frostbolt and fireblast and when you get icelance it wil use that to i dont die lots but im lvling with heirloom gear to
