I disabled my Anti-virus long enough to download it because even the download was giving me the same error. At this point I'm afraid to run it. Just took this screen shot, waiting for a dev to comment before running.
Don't know the technical answers why it happens, but you could add a exclusion for honorbuddy folder (or just the exe). Avast Internet Security - Create an exclusion Myself I am using Microsoft own antivirus and never had any problems. See also Symantec Security Response - What is a false positive?
Never had to make a exclusion before, it was bad enough I had to disable it to download it. I think I'll just wait.
false positive also install this http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/VSU3/vcredist_x86.exe
Hey, Badhiyaksa What I did to download the file, with Avast throwing a fit, is to temporarily disable it for 10 minutes. Right click the Avast Icon on the lower right corner and select the menu option "shield controls" and then there is an option to temporarily disable Avast for 10 minutes, 1 hour, etc. I then downloaded the ZIP and expanded it. Run the vcredist-x86.exe that Tony has linked. I dont like to link files, so go read up on some of his responses, and you will find it. Then, restart your computer. HB should run fine now, well at least for me. As Tony said, if you want to continue using HB, make an exception for GreyMagic.dll or disable your AV until this gets resolved.
