One step forrward, two steps back

It is a quest in wow somewhere, but before that, it was a pamphlet by Lenin from 1922. After the successful revolution of 1917, when he was leading the young soviet republic. It was about the political necessity to sometimes put one's own ideals and principles on hold for the greater good and final goals.
The problem with HB is that there are no greater goals in the horizon. The offical profiles are just like a yoyo. What was working yesterday, has stopped working today. At the same time, other bugs have been solved, but you just never know when they will be back in some other form. I had a toon flying all the way to Goldshire, from Lakeshire, and running to the start zone for repairs. It is of course very easily remedied, but you may ask yourself how it is even possible for such an error to slip in after so many years.

 

This yoyo effect... I'm sure leads many to question if botting is worth it. If you come in at the top, you see it spiral down. If you come in at the bottom, you wonder what is so great about all of this.

I got on board after pandaria dropped. Things were rough. Then they got better. As the patches rolled in it rocked the boat.

Hard to tell where we will be with the bot next month. One would hope since this is the last major patch of the expac we could see some stabilization. I hope it doesn't take until the next expansion. WoW is slowly moving on - everyone is looking for the next game to spend time on.

The cycle is constantly breaking stuff. I don't know how the devs and contributors stays sane.

I've got at least 80's (main account) in every class with very little effort thanks to botanists RAF projects. I've got a good team of 90's helping me farm timeless coins with my main on fpswares lazyboxer. Brodie and others got me easy dailies. Kicks helped me grow a 5 man 90 team, while HighVoltz and dungeon buddy allowed me to level and gear them safely and quickly. Got onyx eggs to exalted in less than 8 hours with things like objectgatherer, rarekiller, and radar - thanks katzerle and the others. Farmers easy max level with professionbuddy and random buddy - roboto and team.

HB is the base that makes all this possible. I hope they can keep that yoyo on the upswing and my thanks in advance.

The only problem that i have seen so far is with HB navigation and anti-stuck tool. While leveling weird stuff happens thanks to navigation. I started to level a bunch of Ally hunters... 4 bots. 3 of them managed to get stuck on a tree next to the Blacksmith building in Goldshire, of course i was there and manage to fix that asap. But imagine if I was not, hours and hours of tree hugging, the problem was 100% with navigation making a weird path to a quest giver.
Another thing that i noticed, is that for some reason my bots love to get stuck in the town halls that humans have(think of Lakeshire townhall design), while trying to pass the corners to get in and out they fail and start hitting the wall next to the door.
And the best one so far was when a single bot managed to get stuck in a tree... a lone tree in a field...i tree that was not big even just a sprout.

I guess there are just problems with reading misc items. But i understand that is hard to take inconsideration everything that may happen while you level from 1-90. Their thousand of quests and million of things that can go wrong.

But i wont call the whole situation two steps back, blizzard is always changing stuff so the profiles and the bots need to change too, it takes time to even see what those things are.

P.S. While writing this my bot was stuck at a mailbox at Ramkahen, trying to unstuck itself,hope no one reported me as someone threw jack o lantern on me.

I have the strong impression that the team is waisting their time and energy on details best handled by profile writers and users. That is why they are overwhelmed by each fart blizzard releases. Instead of building tools for the (end) users to cope with (small) changes in the mesh or other parts of the game, they want to do all by themselves. And apparently, they are simply unable to do that. They should realize that and stop hogging the tools.

 

I think I was too optimistic: it is 1 step forward, 10 steps back!
