      professions taking little or no actual work or brain cells would be herbing/mining. with very little setup you can herb/ore and trade it for gold. this method takes no mote farming or any other bs.

      if you are going to be raiding, then a crafting profession like tailor/leatherwork/blacksmith will make plenty of gold when new patches come out. [you need to be able to farm the newest orbs/spirits for this to work as well as farming harmonies.]

      you have 'the shuffle'. describes many different methods used to change ore/herbs into a more valuable commodity to be vendored/disenchanted/sold. this can be inscription with herbs>pigments>ink>shoulder enchant>vendor[this method was made unviable a couple patches ago] or jc with ore>gems>jewelry>disenchant>scrolls/mats>auction house.

      then you have the more labor intensive professions like making glyphs/cut gems for the auction house. this method works better if you are just bored out of your skull and need something to do with your day. works better if you have a small population and can master one or more markets

      //////]

      however you will want to pick up herbing/mining first on a new account. the income will help you through leveling a real profession. dk/paladin/druid

      save up at least 20k before dropping one gathering profession, you will need it to level a new profession.
      mining feeds jc, bs, engineering
      herbing feeds alchemy, inscription
      skinning feeds leatherworking

      other alternatives are fishing/alchemy/enchanting

      fishing, duh
      alchemy works with herbing. flasks sell well on tues-thursday nights
      enchanting is an oddball that really only works well with JC. and only if you have a miner on another toon.

      wow, thanks for the guide.
      I think i'll start with mining and herb and after i reach some 20k (or more) i'll drop herb en pick up jewelcrafting.
      Hope this will net me some gold.
