Ok just to let you know that the Steam version use an Executable called "PathOfExileSteam.exe" and that the POE Website version of the game use an Executable called "PathOfExile.exe" Also, the EXILEBUDDY bot doesnt work at all for now with the STEAM version. I have not try the other version because i have uninstall it but..hope this will get fixed soon for both version to works.
The non-steam version is the only one we'll be working on. (I'll check the Steam version as well, but if it includes Steam related things, it's probably better to not use it in general)
It's the exact same thing for the STEAM version. The only difference is the executable is called "PathOfExileSteam.exe" because it use a diffenrent login method for Steam (you have to link your STEAM account to Grinding Gear Games, once , then the game log-on automatically) .... Everything is the same. The executable is not exactly the same because of Log-in features and also buy points in-game (Website version use the POE website and Paypal and STEAM version use you're STEAM Balance $) and the STEAM Achievement but i think that's the only difference. I think it's easy to make the BOT work on both version of the game
And in my opinions, you better have the STEAM version work because i think MOST of the people will use the STEAM version of the game in the futur. Since the STEAM version have an Auto-Update features (like all steam games) and also, automatic log-on (once you're logged on STEAM.... you're logged on Path of Exile automatically... !) Not to mention, the games is already number 6 in the most played game of STEAM. Steam: Game and Player Statistics 14,587 peaks players today for POE.... in it's 1st day on STEAM... and it will continue to grow i think alot of people prefer to use STEAM because you can toggle the game overlay (Shift+Tab) with Web Browser and Friend List, and also the auto-update and auto-login.
Play your main on steam version. I presume they are using steam servers. Play the bot on the PoE download. that way you will not get your main IP banned?! winrar.job WIMM edit: home today with PoE Fever. (no, really have fever so posts are going to be.. odd. I keep seeing mosquitoes)
Just to let you know ... STEAM and POE Website version of the game use the EXACT SAME SERVER ! No difference at all. THE ONLY difference is the log-in system (one use GGG account, other use steam account LINKED to GGG account) !
you think wrong, the bot injects on the process, and the executables are different, since they will be having different memory adresses and all of that so it is a waste of time to be working on getting all the memory adresses to work instead of fixing/developing/improving the bot. @Apoc, any idea when will it be updated?
Steam isn't really a great platform for botting. I know if I had my Steam account banned I'd be upset. We're talking probably a grand down the toilet in paid games.
