I just started getting a Windows permissions issue when trying to launch honorbuddy. I've attached a screenshot of the error that I'm getting. Any idea why?
Hi, 99-LS1-SS, You need to run both the WoWclient and Honorbuddy with Windoze admin privileges. Right-click on each, then "Run as administrator". If you need more help than this, we'll need to see your full log, please. Ref: [Guide] How to attach your log cheers, chinajade
Hi, I am having the same issue and error msg as 99-LS1-SS. Running as admin is not working. Unfortenuatly there is no Log I can send you because HB doesn?t even start. The error occured first when I updated to the new version. A complete reinstall of HB also didn?t help. Regards
Hi, Bernd2609, Please try correcting the problem by doing a 'clean install'. Instructions here: HelpDesk: "Clean installing" Honorbuddy If you continue to have problems, please open your own Support thread. This thread belongs to 99-LS1-SS. cheers, chinajade
Had the same problem, the way i fixed was to put on my antivirus "kaspersky" the folder honorbuddy as "trusted" program cause for some reason after the last update it was blocking honorbuddy as it said containing malware.
Yes, I use Kaspersky and I did what Javardaolol said and it started working again. Once I tried to launch it I got the message that it was pulled back to the previous version.
I had the same problem. I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2003. I had to disable Application Control to get it work for me again. I tried setting all the honor buddy files to Trusted. But only worked when I disabled Application Control.
Indeed, more information about the non-bot-friendly Kapersky is here: HelpDesk: Programs that Interfere with BosslandGmbH Products In short, you're just going to have to do a lot of fiddling with it. cheers, chinajade
