I've been having this problem for about 2 maybe 3 months now? I cant remember exactly its been ages since I have used it, whats going on? I know there were DOS attacks, when will I be able to use it? Not to sound impatient but 2 months is a bit extreme... Does it matter that im in Australia? Cos' it used to work, now it doesn't work at all... I have also tried exiting it, re logging, exiting re logging continuously or just spam trying to log in... What now....? EDIT: It has the same thing happen with gather buddy as well.... Whats going on?
Same thing for me also from Australia i found if i click login a few times reopen it a bit ill get lucky like 1 in 30 it will log in only recently been happening to me
Any word on when the new 'stable' build will be released? Presumably after the work on the 4.0 patch release next week?
I got stuck the authentication of death loop last night aswell. Can i ask a favour for furture releases please? Seeing as the ddos is likely to be around for a long while, can we add a checkbox on the login screen that says try till you get in.... That way if i tick this box, it will try to login, if it fails, it should wait xxxx seconds and then auto-try again, untill it gets in.
Yeah I have tried that for about an hour straight.... Nothing happening I just straight off, can not get in...
Alright, thanks man. Yes, I realise that now. I've just been running testing HB over nite and today. It ran flawless (low exp, but that is not HB's fault) without any errors. Now I can be certain that the problem lies with IB. I'm sorry, I just assumed that since HB was giving me the error, it was an HB problem. Hope you'll find a solution soon
Just my gut feeling, but I think it'd be silly for them to release a new version this side of Tuesday, since they'll just have to release another version after that anyway, for the new patch. I'm planning on waiting for the new release, and it being another 2 weeks or so from now. So, if it comes sooner... great. If not, I'm not sitting here stewing about it.
just to let ya know apoc, those memery moved for lua event errors and crashes that you said HB didnt touch those parts of the memory seem to be only happening when i pvp bot. i been running HB today to grind and the last couple hours have been pretty flawless, no errors, no crashes, bot running smoothly. pvp bot and in 30 mins its unusable like the logs and crash logs i posted before. but the grind bot is going strong not sure what would make one setting crash and the other run so well. just an fyi i suppose
Presume the new post 4.0 patch will see HB implement flying mounts? Can't wait for that. Especially now you can use them in All of Azeroth.
Yea, I know the cause of the issue. It's not PVP related at all. It just may pop up in PVP more often. Basically; the event queue doesn't get cleared often enough. So we end up with an insane amount of stuff in memory, then the Lua GC kicks in and moves all our stuff somewhere else. Think of it this way; every time someone starts, stops, succeeds, fails to cast, takes a hit, deals damage, chats something, etc, etc, etc, an event is fired. In BGs, this event spam is pretty much as high as it'll get. (Mostly due to combat log events)

All of you having problems with Auth or any other problem for that matter try using an older version. I have been running 1.9.6.2 for some time now and it works really good for instance.
So glad you said this cause I've been pulling my hair out wondering why those two factors have not been working in my current profiles. Glad it's not me.
Already tried that, Tried all the versions I have.... Continuously fails, and I really need to farm mats for my blacksmithing, I just don't have the time to do it by my self as of late. Anothing thing, that guy talking about the continuous auto login thing would be awesome, people with the auth problem like me have said that continously trying to login sometimes gets them in to it... Hasn't happened for me yet... but hey maybe it will if I had something like that.

They fail at it now it wont get fixed...26 threads and no fix..I don't want to even know how hard they will fail at 4.0 patch.
Been like that since the release of 2.0. It is a PRIORITY. It's become pointless to put them into profiles.
Avoid mobs and blackspots work fine. Can you give me a profile to test, that can reproduce it failing?
