How about you stop evading questions and answer it for a change. Or doesnt that feed your addiction to ask for a log or close, in your opinion, useless threads. It was a serious question, we can rename the file, but not change the description. Since something like this ( SmartAssembly - .NET obfuscator, automated error reporting, and DLL merging) prevents us from changing, the question to be asked is, can you give us a option to make this rename-able. Its not even up for debate if it gives more security or not, me and quite some others atm alreadyr would love to have the possibility to rename the description. god, i could write so much more but that prolly would end up in another mmo-champion look-a-like contest to give infractions....
It would be pointless to do it for other reasons however. I have no idea why one would argue about what Blizzard *could* do. It is well known and even documented what Blizzard is scanning. There are people out there who are able to decompile (and understand in detail) Warden you know.
The reason for doing this has nothing to do with the fact if its more secure or not. I dont want it to be there, no matter what blizz can throw at me, i feel more at ease when it doesnt show up, or in other words, can be renamed.
IF and ofc it is a big if as we do not know how Blizz are finding people, if blizz can take a snapshot of your processes how is having it show up as something else not adding more security.? I have not been able to find the answer I was looking for so I thought I would ask.
So you are not considering that honnorbuddy can be tracked by the system of "Blizzard can scan my RAM" or are looking into this possibility? In this way, we are ?safe? to continue using the bot as always use? Or should we wait for a version of "No-Test"? We must consider that the people who were banned by raid-bot had no luck? Or blizzard is using new strategies? //And try to change the name of the process will result in the same problems anw because if blizzard has any way to see the processes, it sure is a lot more complex to be bypassed with a simple rename? Well, I'm confused ... I'll wait a bit before returning to use bot ...
you are asking something I have been asking for since that post dropped about scanning ram, and the fact that people are still saying that no one knows if they do, shows they dont read the forums since I posted the official Terms of Service right on that post a few days ago (copy+paste), its a definite thing that they are scanning ram. To make us able to change the info would at least put our minds at ease, what would it hurt to let us do it? I would like to change my info to look more like Internet Explorer or Google Chrome or something in the processes.
Thats it, but again no clear answer. Nothing has changed lately. So Razer is full of it when he says devs are being banned all over the place even on new pc's / new ip's and all that??? I dont know him but i dont think he is. Also profile makers, the big ones are reporting things out of the ordinary. Always those evading standard answers, sounds like blizzard. I know they can scan the ram, its in the tos and the anti cheat agreement, leave the legal crap out of the way. We are way past that now. If they can or are doing it, they can see if something his hooked into wow as well, i dont care about that. If they want you that way, they see it either way. You could rename it hellokitteyparadise, it wouldnt matter. Im concerned about the snapshots made. We dont know it if is possible, but if so, and just again for my mind to be more at ease, i dont want hb to show up there. So, are you looking into the fact that we like to rename our hb in the taskmanager and then esp the description, since the file can be changed. Or not. So hard to answer this?
yea from what I see the part of the community that is getting banned is just trying to help with the development of making HB safer and the "Blind Followers" just keep shooting down the ideas and saying its a normal amount of bans. I call them blind followers because thats what they sound like, when every post they make is to discredit someones post as to whether or not HB is safe. I have been seeing those type of people for the length of time I have been on this site. I was one myself until I got banned while using a raid bot.
Hi, The scanning of CPU processes and RAM outside of WoW is *not* new. This *is* old news. I will contribute to educate however, so don't take this paragraph with a spoonful of sugar. If you search the forums you will find other posts that would have answered this for you. The quotes below are just ones I've commented in, and in case you don't care to click, I've provided EU and USA Blizzard T&A links that are dated August and November 2012 respectively. Also, lots of other companies -NCSoft off the top of my head -also have very similar T&A scripts when it comes to CPU and RAM. Here:- http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...ing-response-about-appealing.html#post1161368 http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/120425-new-eula.html#post1165841 http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/120425-new-eula.html#post1165700 November 23, 2012 Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use August 22, 2012 Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use ResourceHacker and MD5 Hasher I dabbled with these apps -ResourceHacker and MD5 Hasher -a while ago. I can't remember the exact conditions but yes, HonorBuddy would hang when engaged. Further, I doubt that the owners -GbBossLand -or developers condone the editing of the property, either. I didn't explore further as it wasn't a solution to the inherent T&A problem. Renaming the Process and such Renaming the Process or Process Description, whilst it may help you better sleep at night, does not change footprint of the exe or its engagement with the WoW process. This is not a solution. TLR trust in the developer's tripwire detection methods and their protocols for releasing safe code and pulling anything they deem as unsafe. Or do not use HonorBuddy!
So what you're saying no matter what happens to the process blizz will always be able to see it running the processes.?
it may not change the interaction with the game but it does change the way it looks in processes and showing up in the ram, blizzard wont look twice at a process called Google chrome with the same exact description as the real Google chrome.
if i would be an employee from blizz this i would be talking My opinion : change everything u can do maybe it will help and yes i lost already 50 acc so learning by doing and trolls shut up
If they snapshot your task manager, then this IS a solution, since a snapshot only shows whats in it, and hb wont be. At least not as a name or description. So yes, it is a sollution, might not be against scanning ram, but will be ( if even done ) against snapshots. Trust in the tripwire. Well, lets see, all we know from it is that it exists. From hearing. So we have to take it by word, that if blizz would detect this, we would be shut down automatically. Sorry. But if no dev responds to either this question or the ban section or the many questions asked about this subject whatsoever, there is no word for me and i dont believe a thing. Should this make me stop then? I dont question ( parts of, and that being the ones i use ) this bot, if im banned, its my fault. I can live with that. The thing that itches me all over is that people are trying to make their botting exp safer and theres not even a word / help / debate possible on it with either one who is developing this. Must be bad for business, i dont know.
Blizz scans for modified hashes, no need to create panic. Wow cannot see what else is running in memory, it can only monitor for alterations to it's allocated memory/memory injection. If wow would have an anti cheat system like, for example rift has, we would already be deeply fu****.
I toll agree with webhond, I got an account banned when I was to lazy to rename HB after an update. The fact is that Scan-64.dll and Scan.dll in your WoW folder SENDS informations about your processes to Blizzard. Renaming HB HELPS in not being spotted by Blizzard. About the non human behavior and framelock, I have a keyboard and a mouse from Razer, they allow me to configure up to 60 clicks in 1 second everytime I press a key or a button on my mouse. Very helpfull when you have a huge latency, and ALLOWED BY BLIZZARD. Since last HB Update, my anti virus goes crazy and puts HB in quarantine before completely deleting it due to suspicious behavior and forbiden activity : UDSangerousObject.Multi.Generic So please, revert changes you made because they act like suspicious and also let us rename it !
