GATHERBUDDY + Public Profiles have been a big no-no for months now, sorry for your loss, but thats was an autoban.

One thing I learned here, to know the ban trends you should subscribe to the Ban Report forum. I mostly read every post made here, hardly filter them. HB was solid in terms of ban for years, I was easy to lvl to 90 using BGBuddy 1 year ago, but the bots became a problem to the community since they would ruin the PvP Flow, so players started to report them and discuss on the official forums and Blizzard had to make a move. Second thing was Gathering, the economy was flooded by gather bots, specially with the release of MoP, and that became another source of complains and reports, and for that Blizzard started to hunt down gather bots. Public profiles with no randomization of routes and long gather activity became an easy target, users still can avoid the ban by gathering for short periods per day, but anything beyond 2h per day would be a death sentence to the bot. If you check the ban reports you gonna see that most of them comes from Gatherers who got greed or aimed on profit. None of those statistics are official though, most of them is from my pure observation and based on my opinion and the common sense. The third and final blow is coming down for Quest Bots and Combat Routines, a lot of users who pledges that they didn't gather or did PvP are getting bans for questing, others are getting bans for the use of Combat Routines that would instantly interrupt things on Raids and Arenas, but both of them still a small fraction compared to the bans for gathering. My conclusion is that HB is not safe anyhow by now, if it was your first ban, appeal for it and deny, it can be reverted to a suspension. I wish you luck.
