1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Both, but mostly Gatherbuddy around the time of ban. 2)Which version (and Beta or Release)?: Honorbuddy v2.5.8483.699 Release 3)If so, when was the last time?: The last time I had botted was a night before the ban happened. I had herb/mine botted for around 6 hours and then turned my bot off. 4)What profile were you using?: Megaroute by FlashlightHD, with custom blacklists to avoid spots where my bot would get stuck. 5)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Singular 6)What plugins are you using?: Anti Drown, Combat escape, Jumpy, No Movement and SVNUpdater 7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: I botted anywhere from 4-12 hours a day, but on average around 6-8. 8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 40-60% 9)How many auctions per day did you have?: Not many. I sold a decent amount every other Tuesday, but none other than that. Most of my auctions would be put on Tuesday by my Enchanter, which did not use any mats or gold gathered from the bot, doing flips with small amounts of gold (10-30k) on a high-pop server. 10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No 11)Was your account involved in gold selling? Never 12)EU or US realm? US 13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid Here is the email that I received as well, and I see many others are getting the same: ***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION*** Account: Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software. These programs (commonly called cheats, bots, and hacks) automate certain aspects of gameplay, or provide unintended advantages and abilities to the player. This type of cheating undermines other players' experience and severely upsets the balance of the game environment. Blizzard reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use: Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use This page contains details on how suspensions are appealed and reviewed: http://www.battle.net/support/article/6741 Regards, Blizzard Entertainment With all of this being said, if someone could PM me any useful tips on how I should go about my ban appeal, I would greatly appreciate it. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me, and I would hate to lose my Vanilla account, which I have put in over thousands of hours into. I can live without WoW for now, as I have been very casual lately and have many other games on my roster, but I am very hyped for Warlords of Draenor and it would mean the world if people who have gotten their perma-bans reduced this month would help me out. Thanks so much guys.
I got banned when I was not playing but when I did play I was farming ore with Gatherbuddy. I wrote this ticket and got mine changed to a 72 hour: This is the ticket description: I am really sorry to hear that my account was banned, I tried something and now see my mistake for doing it. We are only human and all humans make mistakes. I will definitely learn form this mistake "butterfly kiss" <3! May I please have a 72 hour ban and not the perma ban? I' am seriously blank right now should I call or really submit a ticket?
Thanks for your input. I'll definitely take this into consideration when I either make my ban appeal, or contact live support. I'm looking for everyone's input that actually had success in having their suspension reduced, so that I have the highest chance. =)
Admitting to botting is extremely hit or miss. You could get lucky, or you could sign your account's death warrant. If it's your first ever ban or suspension on the account, they may show leniency. It really depends on the GM that you get.
Hello, I had the same thing with a 5 year account. I wrote a sob letter to blizzard and it got overruled to 72 hours. PM me if you want it.
