So for us in the EU will the auth servers be down tomoz or shortly thereafter or will there just be no support or what? Cheers for the post.

Any kind of reimbursement for the people with monthly subscriptions? I have lifetime but I'm sure some people are wondering?

 

Make use of available resources, instead of wait for Live servers

Now maybe this is just a dumb cheesehead's point of view...

But why are the devs not making use of the free WoW PTR servers so they can update HB while the patch is being publicly tested (and likely not gonna change much anymore), and thus have a version ready on patchday itself or soon after it (instead of calculating a 7 day downtime AFTER the patch is released).

And to continue on this line of thoughts, I can't imagine that Bossland didn't get any single Cataclysm Beta Invite from one of his 200.000 WoW BOT accounts
Divide those invites and start work on it (if this is not done already, as rumours suggested something along those lines).

imho, the predicted downtime is unneccesary and unneeded with so many options and possibilities to have a "working" version ready at or close after patchday.

Besides all this I just patiently wait for a "stable" release before jumping on the bandwagon again.

In regard to the Auth Servers,

Are you taking EU and US Auth servers offline at the same time?
Since we can play a day longer in the EU...

 

Will HB still support 3.3.5a (private server)? I know that you don't like that question and that you don't want to support it, but is it too hard to realize?

 

These questions are legitimate! But anyway if they do a good job - like they always do - i don't have any problems to wait a week..c'mon guys..what is 1 week compared to a whole year of botting or something? nothing!

 

Can't you leave an 'old' executable file of HB in the next releases? So that people using the bot on pservers can use this way until the servers switched to cata? Because that would only require that your auth servers continue to support those old versions or am I wrong?

 

We never supported PServers, and we do not like to support them anyway.

Auth will be off on thursday - as EU goes down.

 

7 days? Meh. That's nothing. Make sure you don't overwork yourself too hard.

 

To be fair there were alot of minor errors with GB and HB that needed fixing so taking it offline for several days is most likly for the best, maybe a whole new HB/GB system all we know.
Honestly 7 days offline isn't a problem, if they can sort the meshing issues and the minor glitches most people say i would mind if it went offline for 2 weeks
