at the early levels (10-20) - what is the fastest way to determine that the account has been flagged?
legit to high levels, at least 55-60. have history of long ass hours online before starting botting afk in town for a couple of hours at a time, and long hours too while both botting and playing legit. and check the bot every 4-6 hours to make sure it didnt get stuck doing the same thing over and over multiple characters are a large plus. takes you like an hour to get them to 25 if you're any good. at least two high level characters(60+) seems really legit. currency farmers don't have multiple characters. thats what I'm doing right now and i'm not flagged, just found an exalt, a 5L and a 6L in the same day doing docks.
thanks well, stepping into the game as a fresh Player and leveling legit to 55 by hand is quit heavy and more if you want 2 or 3 accounts. But of course it makes sense. I am just considering how much time i should invest and which bot-time per day makes sense. Read some postings about users got flagged within 1 hour of botting. So i am afraid of spending like 30 or 40 hours playtime seeing my toon flagged immediatly. you should also see that mods do not recommend docks for hours and hours. would be nice if you share a few infos. leveling by hand to 25 actually takes like 10 (?) hours or more for me. I already checked which quests are needed and which are not... but the grinding part is still much effort.
Well, it has nothing to do with the online time, there is some trigger which is not related to how many chars u have or how many hours online u are. i can bot 24/7 since nearly 2 weeks with another bot from level 1 on but i get instant flagged when i try this with EB. it is some problem that have to be fixed & is in work. just dont use this bot until they fixd it if u are one of those with flagging issues.
Crown is right, this bot is detectable. Noone knows how right now, but it is. I was banned 3 times now, first ban was on account that I lvled manually to 60+ with 2 chars. All this online hours/behavior theory is bullshit, they see something. Stop using this bot untill its fixed.
Ye. I wouldn't suggest using this until something has been done. I dont know if the bot itself is detectable but you sure get flagged really quick. I got my account flagged even though I have leveled legit up until 73 and started botting. I was playing alot before using ExileBuddy and was botting the same amount of hours with bot. Only during the day and only 4-6 hours a day. Got it unflagged again though. But I prefer playing legit until I know for sure it is working properly
How? You have gotten every single account you've every played on banned.... on every game. Its your fault at that point.
iargue, Depends on the philosophy/style of the botter. D3, go hard or go home is the moto there... I have had 3 banned accounts and I was botting 'softly' WoW. I don't pretend to know anything about that. PoE, well, we know about EB. I know it is not my setup or current philosophy/style that pulls the ban.. as I have another bot about to hit merciless. But I have had 7 NCDA's. WIMM
Honestly, it's taking longer than expected, as I'm sure a lot of people have noticed as they wait for the new beta to be done. There's just a lot of stuff we have to change and update to get the results people are expecting with the bot. We're trying to keep the api setup in a way people will still be familiar with and are working on it all day every day (as much as we can). We're confident our new stuff will work much better and hopefully not exhibit the flagging behaviors that some people are seeing, but we'll know once it's done and we do some testing. I don't expect all our bot's bugs and missing features to be finished at the same time, since we need to address the flagging first, but once we think we're in a better position with that, we can get back to fixing the annoying bugs. I'd also like to say, the problem is not, and has never been us being lazy about the way we did our previous code or anything like that. It's just an unfortunate case where the code we wrote for the game worked, but turns out not to be good enough in an environment with server sided detection. As many people have seen as they've tested the bot over the last few months, the bot does work, technically speaking, looking past the obvious bugs and logic failures that pop up, but those types of problems can be fixed. If GGG weren't flagging the bot, we'd be fixing the bugs and logic issues and adding more features. So when you look at the current situation, it's a good thing for the long term that we are having to do this now, as we understand our new limits with the client differently than what we did before, but a terrible thing in the short term for everyone who wants to be able to bot without as high of a risk, as botting is always risky no matter what. As soon as we adapt to what is going on, I'd expect GGG to throw another curve ball down the line as well. So, we'll get EB where it needs to be and where people expect it to be, I'm positive of that, but right now it's purely just a matter of time updating what we have to work with.
I?ve always been waiting for the update that solve the flag issue, can't wait to try the brand new EB! Do you have a ETA on that, pushedx?
When the problem is solved, it will be announced? Just new builds come out, but I do not understand that they have changed, it is necessary to perform the test and see. I would like to know what added / changed. Sorry for my engl, i use google translate
We're trickling in things for the new system now. (There's a new high-maintenance build available on the Beta. Use GrindBot7 if you wish to test all the new stuff. It will not do town-run related things.) A ton of progress has been made. At this point in time, I can say we're just about "back to where we were" in terms of the bot working. However, we're not fully confident in the flagging being resolved. So we've got a build out for people who are consistently being flagged, if they want to help us test it. (Unfortunately, as hard as I may try, I cannot get anything flagged. Even with painfully obvious methods.)
Glad to hear that, I've got all my accounts using EB flagged (> 20 combine with my friend). So I'll give it a try and will do it hard for test. BTW, the latest 638 will crash at start, should I wait for 639?
Good to hear Apoc. Leveling a new infernal blower slowly in the off time. I've been thinking about contacting support about my currency flagged character as he isn't banned just flagged. Not sure if this would get my main banned from an investigation of how the items / orbs trickle into my mains pocket. And same for me, Beta build crashes at start up just tried it. P.S. Would love to see support for the 2 chaos orb recipe from selling a full set of unided ilvl 65+ armor / wep / ammy rings. Would rather sell chaos for alterations then iding rares and selling them every few hours manually (Lazy). Most non map drops suck anyways I've only gotten 1 GG 250 top end 1 hander from weeks of botting.
Keep an eye on this thread for the current beta version info. In terms of differences in flagging, you can start using any beta builds from now on to see if the issue is better for you or not. However, these beta version are still going to be pretty buggy and require more user maintenance as Apoc mentioned. We're working on getting the startup crash fixed right now. We know what the problem is, but it'll be a little delayed as it involves some changes with the build server. As for bots that do the chaos orb recipe and whatnot, those aren't too hard to do, but we just have had no time to do cool things like that. I had a little chance orb bot that did the same thing, except it did chance orbs since I don't have higher level characters to farm chaos yet. So it's doable and we will, but it'll just be some time as we really need to workout the more important issues first.
