      Hi all,

Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this in. I've been lurking for a few months, but I wasn't really sure where to ask the question.

I've seen quite a few ban reports, but most people seem to be getting bans for 'abusing the economy'.

How safe would simply levelling be?

I have no intentions of multiboxing or making any money out of this, I just wish to raise a few characters to high level to save me the boring grind.

Are there any "safe" methods of doing so?

I've searched the forum but a lot of the threads I found were a little outdated, so I'm not sure if they're still relevant.

      yep by hand :)

In all seriousness the safest way is to mix up your activities, quest, pvp, dungeon...quest pvp dungeon...I always run dungeons with tyrael and walk manually.

Off-topic: this isn't a ban report, so obviously it's not in the right place ;)

Use Kick's quest profiles to level up safely. Nearly no hassle and I've been botting for a long while now, also with those profiles and I've never been banned.

      I deserve that :)

I read that PVP is pretty dangerous, would simply mixing questing and dungeons be ok?

Say I wanted to level a mage, is there a noob guide on how to set things up?

I have never done this before, but I'm willing to throw a few $$$ on a new account to see if I can get a few high level characters. I wouldn't want to risk it on my main account (only have two level 90's, but they're pretty well geared and I've had the account since vanilla)

Apologies for the stupid questions, thanks for the answers bro!

True -- I did see "Discussions", but didn't realise it was in the subforum of ban reports. If a mod wishes to move, please do :)

I'll look into that thanks bro

And BGBuddy is dangerous, most likely way to get reported and banned. Just saying.

      Happy botting!

      Ok so my plan is:

      1. Set up a VM and install WoW fresh to it
      2. Connect through a tunnel/private network
      3. Buy, download and install Honor buddy
      4. Install Kick's profiles (http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...s/131188-kicks-1-90-mega-profile-pack-22.html)
      5. Set up a new WoW account
      6. Configure HB and let it do its thing on my 2nd monitor, so I can keep an eye on it

      Sound good?

How long should I quest for before stopping?

Kick's profile pack is great for questing, but it's not 100% AFK so don't leave it by itself because 1 of 2 things is going to happen. It'll get stuck or it'll stay in the same spot. Since you're asking for the safest, my answer is Archeology... As soon as you can fly in azeroth just run the bot and it'll farm day and night and it will never be caught. Do it on an alchemist so you might also get the vial of sands, kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Tunnel isn't really necessary, I think.

I find that a hard question: ''How long should I quest''.
The thing is, you can get caught botting for 10 minutes or not get banned at all while botting for 72 hours straight.

I usually leave it on for 9 hours, max (overnight).

Keeping an eye on your bot is usually required, since your bot will get stuck now and then whilst questing.

I've botted for a week straight without bans, just monitor it and when you're in the city troll a bit, it doesn't hurt to bs with your friends on chat either so there's a log that you're human. They can't say otherwise if the chat log is stamped saying you was there and not just botting. The most bans come from auctions and it's due to the fact people use auction buddy, that thing sends all kinds of red flags if you post too many auctions or constantly undercut.

Ok, in that case will sticking to questing but monitoring be OK?

I can run it while I play other games, like league, on my second monitor and just intervene if things go badly!

Watch it when it goes to Redridge, I had an issue there (which has been reported on the forum but I hadn't seen it at the time) where your char will just run into a mass pack of dogs and die. Repeatedly. It's a dead giveaway. Getting stuck is one of the biggest issues. I saw a botter the other day stuck on boxes in HH for about 10+ minutes. Tried to message but no love. HHold is not a good place to get stuck. Kicks is great, just keep an eye on it.
