Anyone else finding their bags nowhere near full since the latest patch? It's like there are many, many times the nubmer of farmers all of the sudden, it's crazy. I don't think I've changed anything, and I get this with The Safe, The Switcher, and my usually reliable Scholzar profile. Bags not even half full after a full night.
Well most bots were down the same time so stocks for resources probably reached an all time low, now people have got theirs bots up and are running them like mad to get some stock in to sell before Cataclysm is truly upon us.
There has certainly been a increase in the number of Herb Farmers out there since the 4.0.1 patch since Glyphs are in high demand again. I'm sure that will die down in a week or two once everyone has their toon spec'd how they like it. I haven't notice a decrease in my ore harvesting though atleast on my server. Can't speak for other servers.
Hmm, makes sense. It's definitely ore that's down for me too though - been running for 8 hours and bags aren't even half full farming both. I'm kind of new to this so I guess I just didn't realise that spawn rates combined with more farmers had such an impact on just one person (me!)
or someones running the same profile as you, and is in front harvesting the nodes you normaly would have gotten. thats my guess.
I would agree with this, except that gatherbuddy is pretty much the only working bot come 4.0.1 which means either blizz reduced nodes or node respawn times, its a bug, or more people are farming by hand with the new herb/glyph prices. Plus, it's unlikely that someone using gatherbuddy all of a sudden started using the same profile, at the same time, on the same server/faction all of a sudden.
ive noticed the EXACT same thing, i wonder if your on the same server as me haha. when running safe i get almost nothing because there r so many people farming those areas, wintergrasp is meh and sholazar is packed full of botting harvesters.
It's perfectly possible, there's plenty of chinese/botting farmers that are spreading on servers these days. I noticed earlier today another person using the same profile as my harvest rate was practically none for about half an hour until I caught up to him, and then another one doing a storm peaks herb profile. People find what's in demand, and will adjust their farming accordingly to bring in the most cash.
Hmm. I guess I never really noticed how many people bot. I mean, I have watched mine at random times and I might see one. Or it might be an actual person. But I haven't seen too many.
On a different note, I've noticed my bot missing out on MANY herbs and vein, its literally flying few yards away from them and not picking them up - surely its not the badnodes fault, tried it without it and same problem occurred :<
Actually no, my warrior is still 280%, kinda makes me wonder whether there's any point in purchasing 310% flying.
Actually, now you mention it, I've noticed my bot skip nodes a fair bit too - I see them on the map or even in the main 3D window, but it sometimes flies straight past them. Maybe THAT is the main issue. I've only ever seen a couple of other bots on my server, the harvest rate just seems so low, and the respawn rate of nodes quite high as always, that GB missing some nodes suddenly seems the most likely answer, even with more people farming. Anyone else noticed GB skipping nodes in this version?
Pirox has been up since Thursday or Friday and their boards are full of people saying they are back farming again so it's not just GB people farming.
Someone should try and get Bossland or other developer attention, it might not necessary be GBs fault, maybe its the config that we use or something.
I got 3 stacks of saronite from 4 hrs farming yesterday, would usually yield 30. I have taken everything out of my badnodes file except the underground node, lets see what happens today. I'll post a report if GB doesn't crash, or WoW doesn't crash.
