Are you in a PVP server? I have noticed that the mount works very well when your PVP flag is off and you exist in a PVE server. However, when you are in a PVP environment, the mount doesn't work 90% time. The only time it does work is if your at base or in a safe zone and your PVP flag is off.
Yeah that thing has been driving me f....ng nuts - worked a week or two back and then... GOOD TIMES. Tried 5 or 10 different ways of coding it, no dice on any now. Anyhow.... Joe
hey quick question, is it possible that sith sorcerer madness spec isn't working as intended? that spec should be mainly using the aoe spell and force lightning to proc crushing darkness which then is instant and does a hell of a lot of dmg... anyhow its not doing any of these but rather spamming affliction which isn't exactly useful ._. what spec do you recommend when botting a sorc? I'll give the lightning spec a try later today...
Bot Stops Working after about an hour or 2 I am having some issues with my bot. When I start the bot everything is working fine. I am running a grind profile and it seems to work fine for a few hours or so then stops working. I am not exactly sure what is causing it to stop. I typically turn my bot on when I go to bed and when I am at work, but it seems like every time I either wake up or get home from work my character is logged out and and its at the server select screen. When I log back in my character is dead. I have attached the log and am hoping someone can shed some light on what is happening. I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong thread, if this is not the correct thread please let me know which thread and I will post it there.
Offhand with this bot, period, I'd say kicking it off and expecting it to run for 8 hours unattended is asking a bit much. If you're coming from HonorBuddy, just know that this isn't the same thing - SWTOR is coded using a framework that throws memory/structs/vars all over the place, all the time, so trying to poll it in the same place, even while trying to figure out where it is RIGHT NOW, is more than just a little tricky. However, I'll let you know if I come up with anything regarding rehooking/GC that allows me to do it. Joe
Thank you so much, I have talked to one of my friends that also runs buddywing, he doesn't seem to have the same issues i am having. I watched it today while i was working and i think that my issue is that if my character dies it doesn't seem to be releasing and just sits there until my character goes inactive and i get logged out. in the log i uploaded I think this is where it started messing up (i dont know much about how to read the log but after that point it seems to be the same code over and over again. just thought this would help by letting you Find where i am talking about) [06:33:47.607 N] [JoesCombat] Death detected. [06:33:48.375 V] [Poi.Clear] Reason: We died. I have also checked to make sure that disableAutoRez is false and it is.
hey, thanks for fixing it, I can't tell for sure if the problem was solved, I haven't botted my sorc any further... but I'd LOVE it if joe's could resurrect companion after a fight... this would help so much when grinding!! maybe it already does resurrect companion and I have something set up wrong...
hey joebrewski I must say I'm a huge fan of your random grind implementation in joe's! I was wondering if to my request in the prior post it would be possible to check for red (broken) gear when respawning at the medcenter and then fixing it at the nearby medic droid? My toon mostly just runs back into the nearest mob group to die with broken gear, I understand that if this gets out of control and it always repairs your gear you could end up completely broke because your toon keeps dieing all night long and spending credits on repairs... a flag if you want your toon to repair on respawn just like a random grind flag or so would be beyond awesome ! ah and btw I'm not sure if you have addressed this with your newest version but as I'm currently botting a sage I've come to notice that sorc/sage tend to start spamming heals after they drop below a certain threshhold (my guess is around 60% hp?) anyway since a couple of mobs are hitting on my toon he instantly after a heal drops back below the threshhold and essentially keeps himself in a heal loop not doing anything else than healing himself back up... if you could show me where the rotation is implemented I'd have a look at it myself otherwise my idea was to only let the character heal every few cycles or smt like that... I'd like to address this issue since a character only healing himself up and not doing anything else and then dieing when out of force is pretty bott-like and could easily be spotted... thanks again for your awesome work and keep it up! ps. I know I'm asking a bunch but it just came to my mind that if my toon could heal his companion that would also increase my success in botting ^^ just a thought!
Updated - (re: The Healing Black Hole in add'n to other stuff) let me know if good using today's build. Joe
