For about 2 weeks I have a problem.
This started a a while ago when about 50k dissapeared from my guild bank. In the guild log I see a few deposits (1 withdrawal , mine )and no other withdrawal.. oh well, thought its a bug so I let it be.
Last week happened again... around 20-30 k on a different guild, and 3 days ago about 250k on 4 guilds. (newly created guild just to prevent this....). I create the guilds using my accounts.
Nothing in the guild logs, 0 copper left. all my items are there, only the gold is missing.
I asked around and pusada said that this is something that blizz does, a chinise company said that this is something that blizz does to "black gold". I had gold on my toons (the ones that were affected by this), but that gold is untouched.
Anyone knows how I can protect my gold? Now I keep it on my toons but in case of a ban I will loose both the gold and the account...

oO Never heard about that. Wouldn't make sense that blizz deletes your gold..either they think you are a gold buyer/botter and close your account for 3 days and investigate it or? well there is no or..there are a lot of people playing wow as a kind of economic simulation and have (had) gold cap on several guild banks. A friend of mine makes gold only with selling and reselling and never had any problems like that.

Is it possible to delete such guild bank logs? perhaps someone has your account data or something.

This makes perfect sense for Blizzard to do. if he is a botter, and they know where his money goes, it's easier for them jsut to delete it after he's put all the effort into farming the gold.

Otherwise, if they ban him, he will just get a new account and they'll have to find him all over again. This way his effort is wasted, if they ban him then their effort is wasted.

Blizzard makes more money with ban's as its 50 to 100 usd to start a fully functional account up. Its gonna be more money when cataclysm come out and there are always 2 or 3 ban waves a year one being around christmas time.

Side Note: The new warden does not look at process's as much as it looks at behavior. Behavior detection was the big change with 2.0 and as this is server side detection and require smart botters. If you bot 24/7 and flood the auction house you will be flaged. Once flagged, well, you know...

Gold sellers get banned. Simple as that. Blizzard isn't worried about tracking a specific botter, they will ban and expect the botter to start over, which in essence is more cash flow for them. Do you know how many botters start over after banwaves? I can see Michael Morhaime, Allen Adham and Frank Pearce all sitting around saying "You know what Mikey, I think I want a new yacht? Do you guys?" /banwave

So... let's count how many banwaves we have had this year... oh that is right, none.

To OP; This type of thing has been mentioned before and does happen. My advice is close the existing guild/guild banks down and start fresh ones, it might even be wise to move the banks to another account but that means you need to devise your own method of transferring gold to where you need it without flagging too much attention.

So you are losing 2 weeks long GOLD and didnt try to search how to avoid it ?

Simple -> create a new GB.

The one you have, is flagged and gold gets deleted daily ( no mats ), thats the way how they do it.

I did this, changed 3 new guilds. and I had a guild for over a year and I never had problems with. And a couple of days ago , poof all the gold gone.
In the log you can't see nothing. Not like when you withdraw with a toon and delete it. it still appears in log. I have for example , deposit 5k, deposit 20k, deposit 20k withdraw 10k (with my toon), I should have 35k left, but I have 0k.
I recall when this started. I got scammed for some gold... my bad, didn't check the name carefully... a mmofly impersonator . After this this happened
If somebody were to find out my acc info/pass{ If I'd been keylogged} my pp money were gone in the first place not my wow gold.

"Simple -> create a new GB.

      1. what do you mean by new gb? new gb folder for my bots?

did that, but maybe my accounts are flagged since i got scammed. I will try to create a guild without involving my accounts, just my farmer and random people to create it.

If you are making a new guild bank on the same account then you are just spinning your wheels and wasting your time.....make a new guild bank on a different account. And by different I mean different name, address, email etc...and for sure not on the same battle.net account. New emails and battle.net accounts are free and only take a few minutes to set up a new one

what if blizz are testing you, if they have taken that much gold a non botter would expect to make a ticket to them asking where the hell is my gold, but with you not making a ticket, your pratically saying to em im doing something wrong

Yeah sure you can see it that way, or that they're telling you WE SEE YOU and letting you slide but taxing you your gold and not banning your account, but if you want to bitch about it then soon as you send in a ticket, they may say okay we were silently telling you stop selling gold by taking your gold, but you've brought it to the light and now we're going to ban you.

I got this situation before. I were saving about 200K gold ($12 a K at the time) in several guildbank for the Chinese New Year, when all the Chinese gold farmers go home for holiday and the price gonna go up.One morning, I wake up and found out that Bliizzard cleaned up all of my guildbanks, not a single copper left. I nearly kill myself at that time. I tried to be calm and send them several emails, acting like an innocent player, then you know what, they banned the rest of my farmer accounts, just to let me know that they know what I'm doing. From that time until now, I never consider this is a easy-profit industry again.

The moral of story is: never keep your gold, especially in a guildbank. Sell it asap. If you do gold-selling, eventually, you will get their attention. And you can guess what happen when all of your hardware information, your IP, your CC,etc.. are under their constant surveillance. It will be bad, very very bad.
