Today i brought myself a new botting rig, and im so excited that i wanted to share with you all. Iv being around For awhile well since Glider Elite to be honoust and iv being an active member here on HB since 2010, i mostly bot for fun but have being a huge player in selling and controlling a large amount of gold on my realm. My mission this time around is to duel box 10 accounts, 5 and 5 to RAF dungeon grind i cant wait to get started, just finishing up a last preparations. For those of you that are interested in my rig here goes, and please comment what you think weather or not over kill etc etc AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00GHz (OVERCLOCKED) 16GB DDR3 RAM 3TB (SATA 3 & 7200 RPM) Hard Drive 128GB SATA III SSD 2xATI Radeon R9270X- 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E Gaming Edition CM Storm Trooper Gaming Chassis with 850w Gaming 80+Gold PSU AMD 990x + SB950 Motherboard Chipset Running windows 8.1 Finally My mission is under way 5 RAF toons running dungon buddy, 1-35 atm has being flawless, one toon prospecting/milling and another toon farm GB Private Profiles, what you think? 12/2/14 Still pure 5 man dungeon, 35-81 atm have found minor issues with the wrath and cata dungeons, Sometimes targeting things and getting stuck behind rocks etc, also some pathing is a little dodgy, no problem to me as im baby stitting the bots and all i have to do is stop bot then start bot again and off they go. Next 5 man group im hoping to lvl 1-90 under 24 hrs 30/4/2014 Currently Have 12 bots running on this pc, would like more but my cpu cant take much more hehehe, its time to invest in another this time I7 quad core
Don't just jump hard on this as you think it's easy. PC is fine, tho better go for I7 and stuff, trust me. Another thing, doing what you have in plans will get you banned so often that you'll regret for starting it. Take my advice, pass on that idea, think of something else. That is too hard to set up and maintain, not worth the cash you earn with the time you'll spend it to run it good enough to avoid stupid bans. All the best!
Nemu5 made some very good points. First - Intel i7 would be much better for botting rig, simply because of the performance the 6 core CPUs offer. But for only 10 wows, that AMD should be decent (I currently maintain 10 bots on 4-cores i7-920, OC to 3.5GHz) And the 16GB RAM should be marginally enough for 10 bots. The good point is - 24/7 botting is almost non existent anymore, so you could arrange your bots on shifts (just like mine workers) so they could occupy the rig 24/7 or similar. Second is the ban avoidance - which is not directly relevant to the rig of course! Atm Blizzard are flagging your IP/System etc, when you create several wow accounts in short time frame, and/or login into several wow accounts from the same IP/System. The exact flag-barrier is obviously known only to Blizzard, but I have read several ban reports recently for manual bans after mass creating of accounts, all from the same IP, most of them pointed to 5man dungeonbuddy leveling. Recently, one of my close wow botters friend got IP banned just 2 days after he created 5 accounts and started to level them with DB (Lost main+ few shufflers and 20 gatherbots total) So, take it easy from the start! Good luck from me!
just for the lolz here's a picture of my last build. CPU: AMD A10 5800K MEM: 16GB - 2x 8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series - DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) MB: MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 CASE: BitFenix Prodigy Also Pictured: Motorola Atrix Lapdock Blu-Ray External USB Drive yea its not an i7 powerhouse, but its good enough for everything i need, although i am thinking about upgrading the motherboard and cpu if i can find a good deal on a core i5 or something.
Processor is shit compared to a 6core I7 don't expect to pull 10 and keep <=90% CPU load and spiking to 100 (causing MAJOR headaches). Ram should be fine @ 16 gigs for what you're wanting , I put 32 into all of my larger machines that run 8-10 and it's just overkill A single ATI HD7970 will more than do the job for video , just set everything to low and you're good to go. Can never have enough HD space :-D Who gives a rats ass about a case? As long as it allows for the hot air to move out and the cooler air to move in , smash it all in there....
And just so you can see I might know what I'm talking about here is my desk tossed together (Doing reno work on a new house that gaming botting bought ) View attachment 117717 Far left screen isn't wow at all , bottom left of 5 is my I7 3770K running 10 bots , there is one hidden by arelog, middle is running 10 another 3770k with teamviewer covering everything up , bottom right is my piece of shit 8 core that can barely run 6 , top left is running GW2 in background , top right (pictured in bottom middle) is my older 2700k running a RAF group of 5 in dungeons.
Useless CPU and 2x Grpahic card is also useless for botting. If you want to play games on high graphics, your machine is good. If its just for botting, delete this thread cause this makes you appear ridiculous
people who say this cpu is useless clearly have no idea what they are talking about... the fx 8350, while obviously consuming more power is a very good cpu for botting purposes. Before I bought a i7 4770k i had a fx 8350. You can easily run 20 bots on this cpu, but you will need a custom cooler for it if you don't want to wake up your neighbors . Its hot and loud, but the performance is good. It's a powerhouse if you do something that can use all 8 cores (which multiple wow instances will do). 2 graphic cards is kinda useless as one would be sufficient. Otherwise it looks good for 10-20 bots.
this cpu, like many others, has 1 core, with 8 virtual cores and 8 threads. its a huge difference to 8 cores. and its not wow that uses all "cores", its the cpu and (in this case) windows, that splits the work to all the 8 threads. there are just a handfull of programs these days who can really work with more than 2 threads(cores). u can get a better cpu for this price. or for a bit more a cpu with igpu, which can handle 18/19 bots. so you can save money cause you dont need a graphics card and who need less power which also saves money. electricity is not a big deal, but why wont you save 10?/15$ every month if you can? so...i have a idea what im talking about. lets say this cpu is a waste of money and is not useless.
wow, I don't want to be rude, so I will just say this is not true. It's not 8 virtual cores. The Cores are physical, just put together into one processor. 8350 has 8 physical cores and 8 threads, one for each core. intel 4770k has 4 physical cores and 8 threads. It's not 1 core with 8 virtual cores... It's one processor with 8 physical cores. Yes there are few programs which use more than 2 threads. But if you run multiple instances of the programs it doesn't matter because the instances will be distributed equally to the threads. You could assign 8 wow instances to 8 threads and every wow instance would only use one thread. So that's not a problem for our use. A fx 8350 costs 170? in germany and the i7 4770k around 290?. So you would need 6-12 months probably to make the i7 4770k a worthwile investment if you care about the power consumption. It's probably worth it, since the i7 4770k is overall a better cpu. But does it make the fx 8350 a waste of money and useless ? Not at all.

My "botting" rig is laughable at this point. AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor (2 CPUs) ~2.9 GHz 4gb RAM ATI FirePro V4800 1TB HDD (I have no idea the specs on this.) Mind you, I'm a marketing major and only run one bot (for now). My new PC is being built up piece-by-piece. Any idea the average price of a good botting PC to make some cash?
