I was suspended just now, getting Battle.net error #203, haven't received an email yet. All I was using is Tyrael and PureRotation, nothing else. I literally bought the bot six hours ago. Anyone know what might have flagged me? Does anyone know where I can find out how long a temporary suspension lasts? EDIT: I used the Battle.net Beta Opt-in program whilst running Honorbuddy. Could this have been my stupid mistake?
I got suspended the exact same time as you, and I haven't changed my Tyrael patterns in months, and I never do anything else on this account. No mail here either, but those are usually slow. Just curious tho, if you go to your b.net account management, and click on your banned account, do you also get that cryptic "Verify your identity and deactivate the game account suspension" message?
Yes, exactly. And when I click it, it takes me back to the account overview page! This is rather curious. "Verify your identity and deactivate the game account suspension" is what it says, but doesn't do anything.
I actually think this might be a mistake on blizzards part, or it's a very delayed massban, we'll see
Just happened to me, as well. Ran Tyrael for rotations and dungeonbuddy for solo netherweave cloth farming in Blood Furnace. Never PVP'd, never left anything unattended. I, too, get the "Verify your identity and deactivate the game account suspension" message, but it's not doing anything. Never been banned or suspended... kinda having a panic attack, but it seems like I'm not the only one having issues so I'm holding my breath.
Brother banned for no apparent reason. No email - Help. - Forums - World of Warcraft Official forums are getting complaints as well.
That's interesting, look at his expiry date, 2011.. Gonna go to the forums and check if I get more info from there.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it has something to do with combat bots like PQR and Tyrael. Of course people are going to say they've never used bots (especially on the Blizz forum). My advice is if you get a 72 hour suspension, find something to do for three days. Actually, I'm planning on leaving HB alone for at least a few weeks, maybe more. There's obviously something they caught on to that resulted in a mass suspension. It could be scare tactics or it could be a new system that flags users with high DPS or something.
Some might be bugged like that, but mine seems to be pretty official. It's the typical nice long letter of "you done fked up", not the brief email the forum guy posted.
