Yes, a long time ago (like 7 or 8 months ago). I lost the computer I had all my profiles on though and when HB went down for a while in December I think it was, I tried to download PQR again and find good profiles, but gave up (too much trouble and no real info. on what the best combat profiles are to use). So, since last year, I have only used HB and nothing else.
Well, the current banwave seems to be related to PQR/I and PE mostly, even those people who haven't used it in months, but we'll see if it has impacted people who solely use HB as well. As for appealing to shorten the ban, I don't know about that, as I'm currently waiting on a response for my own appeal.
Well, I can definitively say I was not using PQR or any other program except HB. I HOPE what you are saying is true; i hope I just happened to get 'unlucky', and that it is not HB because I don't know how I would play without it. .
From what little info I have I don't think HB is part of the ban wave. Buddy of mine uses HB only and doesn't even know what PQR is and didn't get banned ( He BG bots around 20 hrs a day) I used HB mainly but have used PQR in a pinch and received a 72 ban. (Use HB for Rotations) My Bro used PQR only. He only uses it to level and isn't even 90 yet. He received a 72 hr ban as well. Honestly I think the PQI addon was probably the dead giveaway.
My second account was not banned. I really do not care THAT much about it, so I am tempted to run HB and see what happens, BUT I do not want them to detect it, grab my IP Address and link it to the one that WAS 72-hour banned and perma-ban that one. Thoughts?
True, but I want to raid and will prob have some major OMG-WTF-happened-to-your-DPS w/o bot moments. . Also, I see from the posts in Support, that many people are still using the bot without being caught in the apparent ban-wave. As a kid I would drive my parents crazy because I had to find how things worked, and needed to know THEN. Not knowing if I can still take the 'normal' risk of running HB on my other, un-banned acct. is making me nuts.
In December you must have attached PQR at least once. It got logged and you got temp banned. Enjoy your weekend!
