Hi all, Ever since all the bans with the server side detection i have ben using randombuddy which seems awesome and so far hasn't let me down. The one snag however is that it does not support vashjr and i wanted to farm a load of stormvine. My question is, is it possible to farm using GB2 without randombuddy and not get banned and if so how? Ive seen the old vashjr profiles on the site for the poseidus mount that i used to use back in cata and wondered how useful they might be. Does anyone know? Thanks alot ^^
I could make up a bullshit story about how everything is best in moderation and with the proper pre-cautions you will never be caught but the truth is that no one can predict bans with any kind of accuracy. I can tell you that, with moderate certainty, the risk of getting banned is higher when running static paths over and over again but more than that no one can help you. Weigh the risk vs. the reward and figure out for yourself if you are willing to risk it.
thanks very much for the replies - the reason i ask is there was a big issue a few weeks (months? time moves quickly lol) where people claimed to have been banned after running gb2 for just an hour or so. At that point i switched to randombuddy and never ran gb2 without it again. Is everyone just using randombuddy atm?
What you can try to do is make your own profile, and use the "Randomize hotspot" function within Gatherbuddy2 to stay out of sight of the LCP detection.
I would assume most people are running randombuddy at the moment, yes. The lower NPH is a worthwhile sacrifice in my opinion.
aye i was looking at the randomise hotspot function - is it good enough to avoid the LCP detection in bounce mode do you think? And Dockson, i completely agree with you it really is and if it wasnt for my need for stormvine i would still be using it hehe
