Like option to set V to use Arcane explo + Cone of cold under aoe settings and with a "High AoE Unit Count:" setting like you have for the normal aoe. Works really good for fights with like 6+ adds and low hp.
Sounds good, thanks. I don't really notice it but does the routine take into account when Aura Mastery is up? Having it cast Frostbolt/Evocation (to refresh Invocation) while it's up should be a DPS increase if it's possible to implement.
I just tried this on Nourshen HC. It does some very strange things, such as casting flamestrike, blinking forward to the boss when I am not moving (I am a Frost Mage and have glyph of blink). I like that it dots the adds automatically, but it would be nice to have control over multi-dotting to turn it on/off. I saw in the config options you can disable blink, but is there a way to use it yourself during an encounter? As for flamestrike and the multi dotting, is there any way to control this?
Millz where would I find out what some of the logic options mean? I am posting my setup. (i hope this is allowed?) Examples: 1. Difference between boss/player - cooldown, etc? Like with potion of jade serpent - i want to use on pull and during bloodlust. Setting to use? 2. What does the burst setting mean and what is the best way to use it? (ie: the opening, or when bloodlust triggers) 3. Alter time logic - how do i know what it is doing if I click it for offensive use? 4. What does force combat option mean? 5. Targeting enabled means the bot will pick best targets? Most of the settings i understand. I think i need the most help managing burst etc.
I'll try to answer some of these questions for you. 1. Yes for PVE encounters I would disable the auto blink, and for using it yourself, bring up the Class Config > HotKey > and look for Manual Cast Detection, this should be checked with the value under it about 500 (half a second) what this does is when the CR detects a keypress other than movement keys it pauses the bot for half a second and executed whatever you are pressing, the effect when you want to blink you just hit your configured hotkey and hold it for a tad bit longer and your golden. 2. Flamestrike can be control as can the multi dotting in general, again go to Class Config > Frost > and look for Use AoE Abilities, you can check this on or off, this will turn off ALL AoE abilities including Flamestrike/Blizzard/Arcane Explosion AND Multi-Dotting mobs as well. If say you want to have the CR multi-dot the mobs BUT never use the AoE spells just make sure its checked ON, and then under it you'll see a setting for High AoE Unit Count, this is the min number of units within 10 yards of your current target needed to initiate AoE spells, so you can just put it at say 30. And the CR will always Multi-Dot available targets BUT will never cast Flamestrike, or Blizzard. For additional logic of the AoE spells they use flamestrike -> blizzard, but cancels blizzard to use FoF and BF charges. Hope this helps, and to be clear i'm just a member here so you never don't blame the boss if he jumps in and corrects me on something. Anyhow have fun. As for flamestrike and the multi dotting, is there any way to control this?
Again, i'll try and answer some of these questions to the best of my ability, hopefully it helps. Examples: 1. Difference between boss/player - cooldown, etc? Like with potion of jade serpent - i want to use on pull and during bloodlust. Setting to use? For potion of Jade Serpent, go to Class Config > General > then on the bottom right you'll see a checkbox to enable or disable the use of potions and a drop down menu under it, just set it to "Use On Heroism/BL/TW" this will burn a pot when it detects Heroism/Blood Lust up. For on the pull just Prepot as you would manually on pull countdown. 2. What does the burst setting mean and what is the best way to use it? (ie: the opening, or when bloodlust triggers) This is a way to enable things to be easiely toggled on and off, you can set alot of CDs and use of items, etc to Use On Bust Only, and there is a toggle key you can set for enable burst mode, so it kinda becomes and use certain abilities toggle on and off, something seperate from the enable cooldowns toggle you will find in there as well. These hot keys can be found under Class Config > Hotkeys. 3. Alter time logic - how do i know what it is doing if I click it for offensive use? Offensive Use is what you use for PVE content, I'll need to have the boss jump in on this one, but iirc when not on CD it waits to try and get 2 FoF and 1 BF proc which Icy Veins up, and that would be when it would hit AT, but if it doesn't get the procs I believe it fires off AT which whatever it has when there is 6 seconds left on Icy Veins. But again, dont quote me on this one, we'll let the boss weigh in. 4. What does force combat option mean? Its an option for your Pet, and is only used in PVP, so feel free to leave this toggled off for PVE content. 5. Targeting enabled means the bot will pick best targets? Not exactly, what I believe it does it when your target dies, it automatically targets the next enemy unit using logic similar to /TargestNearestEnemy. And there is a hotkey for this you can configure, and personally I've found there are encounters where its great to have on, and others where I want to have absolute control of what i'm targeting and what order specifically. The Hot key toggle makes it easy to swap back in forth as you play. Well hope this helped a bit.
locatha has probably answered most of your questions (thanks!). To fill in some of the blanks; Alter Time -> 'Offensive' uses the best/optimal settings to achieve high DPS. For frost spec (presume that's what we're focusing on here) it'll use alter time, and start 'holding' the Fingers of Frost / Brain Freeze charges. Once we either reach 2x FoF + 1x BF, or Icy Veins duration is less than 7 seconds (I think it's 7..), it'll use Alter Time. That way we're extending Icy Veins as much as possible, and hopefully getting 3x instant charges in the process. Defensive is only for PvP. It uses it when we've got certain incoming spells that would want us to be returned back to where we were (i.e. Death Grip). Force Combat -> The routine normally only triggers once you enter combat (with Tyrael / Lazy Raider etc). If you've got force combat enabled, it'll ignore whether we're already in combat, and just attack any enemy as soon as they're targeted. Good for PvP/farming, very very bad for PvE. There's a force pet to attack option too, but that's more for Questing (as Questing disables pet usage for no apparent reason?). Targeting -> It doesn't pick the best target, it simply switches to a new target when ours is no longer a 'good' one (out of range, out of LoS, dead etc). Lots of conditions on it, sometimes handy to have, but as locatha says, there are certain fights where you probably want to handle that yourself. Setup the hotkeys to toggle it on and off.
Great routine! however the bot stops attacking regularly, but starts again if i move a little foward or sideways. and also it doesn't like to attack from max distance so i have to get pretty close to the mob for the bot to attack. any help? Thank you!!
Its pretty obvious you have to be in range to attack your target isnt it? Or what do you mean, it doesnt attack even if in range?
Yeah sounds like a range issue. Have you got a log file? Is it any specific circumstance where this happens ?
I've noticed some odd range thing for Immeresus as well, I'll be starting the fight and KNOW i'm within 40 yards, but when the fight starts the bot moves 10 yrds closer (to about mid between the wall and immeresus) and starts dpsing there. In the logs I do see alot of the out of range lines in my log. [Portal ~ Debug] [Targeting] Immerseus - Fails - Out of Range Not really sure why the entire room minus the last 5 yards from the wall is within 40 yards of him, I'm wondering if its moving within range of one of the spells or abilities that its not using, like an interrupt or something or it could be a range issue I remember there were range issues with like Elegon back in the day, not sure. Unfortunetly it just swaps to one of the adds after the out of range and continues, any way to see in a log when/why the bot does a "automated move"? Also another note for setting on the bot, I know it automatically cancels say blizzard for BF and FoF procs, is there a setting to disable that? eg: for H immeresus not canceling is best, looking at my log it reports that i was "continuing to channel" blizzard due to 21 mobs being in it, then said 20 mobs, then canceled it for a BF, then went back to channeling and it was at 19 etc... (as they tanks/healers are gathering up all the adds) in total in canceled the cast 4 times for procs, but the channeling went from 21 to 13 at the lowest, would rather keep blizzard up when its rocking 20 mobs. Just wondering if there was a way to do this?
Range -> disable movement in PvE. It's really not good for raids. I don't get any range issues on Immerseus, can stand back at max range. Agree for Blizzard, but it'll be better to have a fixed value to say don't cancel blizzard when units are over X amount. 8 ? 10 ?
Wanna keep maximum Nether Tempest (8-10) targets during random BGs. Would like to dot everything in range (including enemy pets). Is it possible and what settings do I need? ) Playing frost mage. For now my mage on BGBuddy in afk mode dots only 1-3 targets even if more available in range It's good for Living Bomb but not Nether Tempest.
Sounds good I'll give it a try, and Yeah over 8 units sounds like a good number to have it not cancel on. Thanks.
Having had a look at your dps rotation, there's a few things it's doing wrong: -the POM, alter time, combustion combo is being done wrong. You should only pull alter time the moment you cast the last fireball, it's going towards your target and both heating up and pyroblast proccs are up. That way, you get the chance for an extra crit, and you also get to use the first POM to continue the chain into the second combo. -Synapse strings should only be used on in conjunction with major offensive abilities, such as combustion, in order to increase your ignite. -Rotation should at least wait for 3 continuous pyro crits in order to cast combustion. If it doesn't get that within 10 secs, then just cast whenever possible. Either that, or a set value of ignite, whichever way. That's all I could see for now, but will let you know more
I have noticed that HB ...(not the cc or tyrael) turns on click to move (interface-mouse-click to move) everytime you start-stop-start etc ....i wish they would remove it or at least give the option to turn it off ....its very annoying
